Cuz, Arizona and Hawaii Never have a time change. Not sure why. Guess they don’t figure they need one! You stay good while I am gone. They changed my time for surgery tomorrow to 100PM so I don’t have to be there until 11AM a lot better than 730AM. I am getting hungry!!!! Maybe I should go to sleep.

Why was I surprised to find you identifying with Gaiea?
Why does Arizona go on Daylight Savings Time? Don’ save it, share it with the rest of us.

April 27, 2015 at 8:58 pm #87836gavinModeratorI knew you couldn’t resist doing something!!! Ha!!!
April 27, 2015 at 7:05 pm #87835lainySpectatorHa, Ha my goodness my son knows me well. I just vacuumed!!!
April 27, 2015 at 1:11 pm #87834gavinModeratorDuke, definitely a different method of working out time in AZ! Not just a different time zone from Scotland but also different method of measuring time to the rest of us, must be something to do with all of that sun they get there!
I give you a week before you are back on here Lainy, and I think that may be a tad generous! As per Duke’s suggestion, I’ll pretend to be you and get on with the cleaning here then!
Good luck with it all Momma and remember, prep for surgery does NOT mean you have to sneak in some house cleaning before you go to the hospital!!
See you when you come back (in a week!)

April 27, 2015 at 2:21 am #87833lainySpectatorThanks, Darla. Doing ok, getting everything ready. Tomorrow I have to PREP. So unfair since it is all coming out anyway! So, your all making bets on how long I will be off? This is going to be good!
I do heal rather quickly so hope this time is like the others. Catch you all on the flip flop (remember the CB radios?). My monicker was Mother Nature.April 27, 2015 at 2:08 am #87832darlaSpectatorI agree with the guys. No way you will be off that long.
Good luck with the surgery Lainy. I will be thinking good thoughts for you.
Hugs,
DarlaApril 26, 2015 at 9:44 pm #87831lainySpectatorHA< HA< HA my sides are splitting. Duke you are such a great comedic writer. I only have one correction and that is I am not from MN. Born and raised Kansas City, MO. Got married and moved to Milwaukee, WI for 35 years and then moved to Phoenix. You are almost right about the 5 days as every day here is like a vacation! Guess I could say it's overwhelming for a girl from Minn. but I can't say that. I can't swim, afraid of heights (vertigo) but did golf with T.
Now, you and my son, Gavin go ahead and pretend to be me because I am now 75 and fabulous!!! Great Post Cuz!April 26, 2015 at 8:29 pm #87830dukenukemMemberGavin –
I’m thinking the weeks in Arizona must be calculated differently than they are in the rest of the country, plus Scotland. It’s probably only five days long because they don’t count Saturday and Sunday since everyone is either playing golf or tennis and that doesn’t count. You know, we could make up posts pretending to be Lainy and see if anyone notices. That would certainly bring her back, if nothing else than to save her reputation.
“Hello from Shangri La. Decided to take a quick vacation here to recover. Glad I can put the colitis behind me. But it’s so boring here. Nothing but chicken soup with matzo balls. Can’t get lasagna or any pasta. Not that I don’t think of anything besides food. There’s cliff diving, hang gliding, and white water rafting. Not sure how I will fit them all into my schedule. There’s bingo with the Catholics, line dancing with the Baptists, pot lucks with the Methodists. It’s almost overwhelming for a Jewish girl from Minnesota.

April 26, 2015 at 5:51 pm #87829gavinModerator” I imagine I will only be off the Board about 2 weeks.”
Hmmmm, no chance you staying away from here for 2 weeks!!!
April 26, 2015 at 3:20 pm #87828lainySpectatorDear Aiste, thank you so very much. I go into this surgery knowing that others like your father fight for their health with so much grace and dignity and it gives me the strength to do the same. I am ready to begin a new life. I imagine I will only be off the Board about 2 weeks. In that time I wish for your Father to be home and healing by leaps and bounds!
April 26, 2015 at 9:58 am #87827ice-teaMemberI’ll be thinking of you, Lainy, and my family, who got to know you too, will be sending you our support from far away. Yes, I told them about people on this site!
You’ll be missed as I suppose you won’t be able to post for some time after the operation but when you can, I’ll be waiting for your great posts again. I wish and hope operation and post-operation period will be smooth for you.
P.S. – love the humour in the posts
April 25, 2015 at 4:36 pm #87826lainySpectatorI love you too son, Gavin from another Mum. I know your thoughts and prayers will make the ocean rise from all that will be going in it! THANK-YOU! The Green people thank you too!
Cuz, actually it is Robin that becomes the mother bear. And the hospital does know me as I have been there many times between T and me. Funny story, well maybe. When I had my GIST Cancer removed, on the 2nd day I was not getting relief from pushing the pain machine button. I told this weird Nurse at least 3 times and she checked it and said it showed that Morph was released. After a few hours of this Robin went to the Nurse’s desk and asked for the floor MGR. who checked the machine and found out it was NOT releasing the Morph. Robin told her in no uncertain terms that she did not want that Nurse coming in my room again. She said the Nurse is supposed to listen to the patient! Ah, yes, I taught her well! P.S. I don’t tell them what to do I only tell them what they can’t do!
April 25, 2015 at 2:22 pm #87825dukenukemMemberI just figured out what you are planning. You’re going to be super nice to Admissions, even the pre-op team (always a good move to be nice to people with needles). But once you wake up and they start giving you orders, look out for the real Lainy to emerge. YOU will be giving THEM orders! And Robin will play the innocent in the background.
Busted, Lainy. Maybe I should contact the hospital now and warn them. Or, just sit back and wait for your stories.

April 25, 2015 at 12:42 pm #87824gavinModeratorWomen and bags…… whoa, I am so NOT getting involved in that conversation!!!
You know that tons and tons of positive thoughts are coming over the pond to you and of course everything is crossed for you too!
And as for the ulterior motives, I agree…. I know all about you, your family and the gift shop at the hospital!!
Hope everything goes as planned and goodbye colitis. It was nice knowing you, NOT!!!
Love ya loads Momma!
Gavin
PS – Remember to do as you are told now……..Ha!!
