Dear Meghan, I am so very sorry to read about your Mom. I just feel that Mother’s never leave their children and are a heartbeat away in the next room. Please accept my humble condolences.
I’M STILL HERE
I’m at your side each night and day,
In your heart is where I’ll stay.
You can feel, see or hear, I am not gone, I’m always near.
I’m the colorful leaves when fall comes round,
The pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I’m the first bright blossom you’ll see in Spring.
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I’m the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
And you’ll see that the face in the moon is mine.
I’ll whisper your name through the leaves on the trees,
And you’ll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.
I’m the salty tears that flow when you weep,
And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I’m the smile you see on a baby’s face.
Just look for me, I’m every place!May 19, 2016 at 3:29 am #89222darlaSpectatorDear Meghan,
So sorry to hear that your mom has passed away. You have my deepest sympathy. I am glad you were able to spend a lot of time with her. Yes Duke has also passed on and is greatly missed here on the site. I too enjoyed his posts.
Take care and come back and let us know how you are doing.
Hugs,
DarlaMay 19, 2016 at 2:04 am #89221mabsmithSpectatorI haven’t been on this site for quite awhile as my mom passed away at the end of October from this and I was spending as much time with her as possible. But for the last few days Duke and all of his wise words and positivity have been on my mind. I am so sorry to see that he has passed, but I know he’s in a better, pain free place now. Dukes family, I didn’t know your dad but I really enjoyed reading his posts and can tell he was an amazing man. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

August 31, 2015 at 4:01 pm #89212jennifersMemberI’ve never spoken with you directly Duke, but feel compelled to add my own sentiment to your post. I’ve read your words daily, though since Dad’s passing 4 years ago rarely speak up on the site. You have helped so very many people (including me), and I hope you have a peaceful journey from this world into the next. Your presence will always be felt here, and your words and thoughts will continue to bring peace, hope, and plenty of laughs to those that read them.
Thinking of you and your family, Duke. Sending love and warm thoughts to you all.

Your post moves me. I am reminded of my dad passing away from this horrible cancer.
NOBODY should have to go through this but we play the hand we are dealt.
My thoughts are with you.
