I understand. I think that is the best thing that I can say right now. My husband passed almost two months ago and we were told the same thing. That treatment would stop and he had a couple days to two weeks left. He lived seven days after that. My heart goes out to you and your family right now. We have a little girl that is 5 and she has endured this so much better than I have. I hope that your children will be given strength.
bethtSpectatorMy heart goes out to you Lainy. I know that you are strong and brave.
bethtSpectatorSweet Missingwayne….I feel deeply for you in this horrible time. I am sorry that things are so bad. I am praying for you.
bethtSpectatorthanks to all for the prayers. We are doing well considering.
Our 5 year old little girl had her first real cry about it Sunday night and all I could do was hug her and cry too.bethtSpectatorI understand. It’s like there is a constant heaviness in your heart. I hope that you are blessed with moments of peace and that your burdens will be made light.
bethtSpectatorJenny,
So sorry about your news. My husband is 34 with PSC and CC as well. I really hope that they found it early!!!!!!!!!!! Best of luck to you!
BethbethtSpectatorMy husband and I think that his yellow skin make his teeth look impressively white. No need to bleach them!!!
bethtSpectatorArt has completed his first week of radiation/Xeloda and has only been tired. His only real discomfor comes from how swollen his belly has become. He was up most of the night last night with back pain. Someone from church yesterday remarked at how much weight he had gained. I had to explain that it was water retention. I really hate ascites.
Just complaining…sorrybethtSpectatorUpdate!

So sorry to hear about this. I really wanted to meet her. Sounds like she was a remarkable woman.bethtSpectatorThanks Kristin!!!!! I needed to hear that!
bethtSpectatorI would love to contact the judge just to talk to her. It is so rare that you hear of someone that has this cancer and with her being so close it would be nice to hear about her treatment, view, and experiance.
bethtSpectatorI am living the same thing right now Jeff. Art is in the Hospital because he spiked a temp and at first they couldn’t find infection but had him on IV antibiotics. He has been there 4 days.(hopefully he will come home today) I completely empathize with you. It is a roller coaster. Hope all goes well and that Marc’s feels okay. Thses hospital stays can be really draining for both of you so hang in there!
bethtSpectatorWill be thinking of you both!
Many prayers and good wishes
BethbethtSpectatorJeff
I have been reading your posts and it brought me back to 6 months ago whan my husband was diagnosed. (stage 3 CC non-rescetable) The beginning really is a roller coaster. I talked to a DR/friend of mine and she said that it usually takes a month and then you reach a point where it is easier. I found it to be true for me.
I hope chemo goes well tomorrow and that his bili stays low. Art was in the hospital a lot in the beginning with infections from his drains (he still has two external drains). Thankfully that hasn’t happened in 3 months. He is doing very well now and works all the time. He has taken well to chemo and his first scan revealed a reduction in the tumor.
I don’t have any real advice to give that you haven’t already gotten. I just wanted to let you know that there is a family thinking of you and yours, here in Ohio.
I’ll be looking for your updates!
Here’s to rescetion on the horizion!
BethbethtSpectatorMy husband has two external drains and he attaches them to a clip, the type of clip that rock climbers use, I can’t think of the name of it, and attaches the clip to a belt loop. He dangles the bags inside his pants so nobody can tell they are there.
