Dear Gavin,
I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your dear Dad. I am glad his passing was peaceful. Your posting is a wonderful tribute to him. I know how much you and your Mum will miss him, but atleast he is no longer suffering from this horrible disease. He will be with you forever in your heart and memories. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you now travel the sad journey of mourning and grievieng. Take care of yourself and your Mum now Gavin.

I am glad things have eased up some for your Dad. It sounds like things are going along quite well for the moment. I’m sure you don’t need to be told this, but cherish this time you have been given it is truely a blessing. Thanks for sharing all of this with us. I too am hoping for peace and comfort for you all.

I too am sorry you have gotten this discouraging news, but I agree with Lainy. One never knows what is around the corner. Going to see Kjartan might not be a bad idea right now. Know that I am thinking of you and hoping for the best.

That was not my situation, as my husband’s cancer was way too advanced and he was too compromised by the time it was diagnosised, but I have seen this before on the site and often felt it should be the patient’s choice to take that chance or not knowing all the risks involved, not the doctor’s. Any thought’s on this Marion or any one else?

Yup, we got several inches, but are expecting a ton Tuesday & Wednesday and then cold!
Really makes Arizona sound like the place to be! Atleast this time of year!

My husband also had chills all the time. Don’t know the answer to why. Hopefully someone here can come up with an explaination if there is one!

I too am sorry it has come to this point, but you have been strong and supportive and done your best all along the way. Be glad for the time you had and for the time you are now given. Make the most of the time you have left with your Dad. His comfort and knowing his loved ones are with him are so important to all of you right now. You are a wonderful son. Welcome to our world. I am so sorry for your loss and your reason to be here, but am glad that you found us. I lost my husband in much the same way as Katie’s Dad and also found this site shortly after he passed. There is very good support in the grief management section of the site. The comfort and support of those who truely know & understand what you are going through can give you strength and comfort as you go through this sad & stressful time. It is truely an extended family. Come back often. We are all here for you.
