darlaSpectatorDear Carolyn,
I too want to welcome you & let you know that you have found a great place for help & support. Learning you are fighting CC so soon after the loss of your husband is definately stressful to say the least and so unfair, but as you probably know from reading on this site cancer, especially CC, does not play fair. I am glad that it was found early on & that you are doing well. I am so sorry for all you have been through and are now dealing with & hope things keep going well for you. Know that we are all here for you whenever you need us for help & support or even just to vent your feelings.
Love & Hugs,
DarladarlaSpectatorKris,

More good vibes coming your way.

darlaSpectatorLisa,
Glad to hear you are feeling a little better and the fever has broken. After 3 days of vomiting & fever it’s no wonder you are weak & tired. Take it easy for a few days & hopefully things will improve even more!

darlaSpectatorHello,
I too am sorry you need to be here, but glad you have found us. We all know & understand what you re going through. I agree with Kris that your Mom’s comfort is most important and to make the most of the time you have left with her. I will keep you, your Mom & your family in my thoughts & prayers.

darlaSpectatorHi Pat,
I also want to welcome you to the site. You have found the best place to come when dealing with this awful cancer. Everyone here is so helpful and understanding. I can’t be of much help as our situation was very different from yours, however, you re in good hands with Kris & Lainy and I am sure there will be many others joining in soon. I will be hoping for a good follow up appointment. Please keep in touch and let us know how things are going. I will also check out your blog. Good luck to both of you as you travel this journey that none of us wanted to take.
Take Care,
DarladarlaSpectatorDeb,
I am so sorry for all you and your family are experiencing with this horrid disease. I can only tell you that it is all “normal” under the circumstances. My husband passed on almost 9 months ago & I still remember all of those feelings. I think I remember more now than then as at the time everything was happening so quickly and after I was in shock and disbelief at what had happened. This is the one place you can come and say whatever you are feeling as you are right, we all understand in a way that no one else can. I too feel all the anger & frustration and was totally overwhelmed as your Mother is now. I know our sons also feel a lot of what you are feeling. So please don’t be so hard on yourself or your Mom and most of all, try to make the most of the time you have left with your Father. Sometimes just being there is more important than talking. Just take it one day at a time and do the best you can. You are a loving, caring daughter & I am sure that both your Mom & Dad know how you are feeling & appreciate that you are there for them. I know that today is going to be very bittersweet for all of you, but I know you can be strong and enjoy it for what it is. I will be thinking of all of you today & hoping that it can be a good one for you all.
Love & Hugs,
DarladarlaSpectatorGood Luck tomorrow Jim!
darlaSpectatorI am so sorry for the loss of your dear Father. Having recently lost a loved one to this horrible disease, I understand what you are going through. There is no easy way to get through this journey of grieving. It is a very personal, private thing & is different for each of us. It just takes time. Take comfort in the fact that he is in a better place and is no longer suffering. Know that he will be with you forever in your heart & memories. Just take things one day at a time, one step at a time and come here often for help & support or even just to vent your feelings. We are all here for you to help give you comfort & strength in this time of great sadness.
You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers.
Love & Hugs,
Darla -
