SpectatorDear Cazgirl,
Welcome to the group, but sorry you needed to find us. You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband to this disease. My husband passed quickly much the same as you described, so I truly understand what you are feeling and going through. I found this site a few days after he passed away and got so much help and support. No one who has not dealt with this disease can possibly understand what it is like to deal with this disease.
I totally understand your concerns about heredity as I too have two sons. Unfortunately I don’t have any answers for you. There is research being done, but at this point I don’t think there is any way to test for it.
Hoping others will be on soon to welcome you and have more information for you.
Hugs,
Darladarla
SpectatorFingers crossed that this is the case and that the next scans will look much better.

SpectatorNancy,
I totally understand. Know that this is normal and venting is good.
My folks started to decline shortly after my husband died and are 87 (almost 88) and in nursing care, too. You feel like you lose your husband and best friend who you could share everything with and always count on for love and support and now have to deal with this too, on your own. I also lost a good friend a few weeks ago who was very supportive to me after Jim passed away. All I can tell you is that it isn’t easy, but it does get better. You will now find out just how strong you are and that you truly can do this. There will be a lot of highs & lows, just like it was when dealing with the CC, but although it never goes away, your pain and sadness will ease. I feel that if we can handle all of this, we can handle almost anything. Come back and vent whenever you need to. We all understand and are hear to listen and help when we can. Thinking of you and hoping for better days ahead.
Love & Hugs,
Darladarla
SpectatorNancy,

SpectatorDear Carlos,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know she will be greatly missed. Take comfort in knowing that for her the pain and suffering is over. Keep her with you forever in your heart and fond memories. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad and trying time.
Love & Hugs,

SpectatorOlga,
Just know that you are not alone. We all understand and many of us have been there. You are already doing what I was going to suggest. Try to take time to do something for you when you can. Yoga is a good choice. It won’t change things, but will give you a well needed break and help to keep you sane in this often crazy world of CC. And the most important thing, take it all as it comes, one day at a time.
Hugs,
Darladarla
SpectatorSam,

SpectatorHi Jane,
Another warm welcome to the club, but sorry you needed to find us. I can’t add much to what has already been said, but want to add my agreement that she needs to get a 2nd and maybe 3rd opinion as something just doesn’t ring true about what she is being told. Wishing you and your mom the best. Please let us know how things are progressing. We care and are here to help and support you in any way that we can.
