Susan, I totally understand what you are going through. Although this is a rare cancer, unfortunately here your situation is shared with many. Actually I should say fortunately as you will not find a better place to be then among this phenomenal group of people. I agree with the others. Take a deep breath and just try to deal with this one day at a time. Sometimes it may have to be one hour or even one minute at a time. More opinions and working with doctors who are very familiar with CC is also good advice. Please update us when you can and know that we are all here to help & support you both in any way that we can.

    Joe,

So sorry to hear of this set back in your mom’s treatment but hoping that the new combo will be more successful. I don’t have any experience with these, but I’m sure others who have will be here soon with some helpful suggestions. Thinking of you all and hoping for the best results for you mom’s treatment. Update us as you can. We do care.

    Victoria,

So sorry to hear this. Hoping they can get this under control and things will move forward. I am glad to hear that they are keeping the pain under control. That is so important. Also encouraging is the shrinkage. I’m hoping you will hear from Foundation One soon. Although I am sure Patrick does not want to be in the hospital, I think that is the best place for him at the moment. A 3rd opinion can’t hurt either. Please let us know how things are going. Hoping for the best. Take care.

I am so sorry to hear this. Richard and you have been through a lot and I understand how you feel, that even though he has had 6 years, we always hope for more. Hospice will be a great help to both of you and will manage his pain which is of the most importance now.
My heart goes out to you both and I will be thinking of both of you and hoping for the best. Know that we are here for you to help and support you in any way that we can.
