I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing, but glad you were able to have the summer to share some good times with him. Take comfort in knowing he is now in a better place, no longer suffering and at peace. Keep him with you forever in all those wonderful memories. He will be near you, in your heart and those memories forever. You and your family and all those who loved him are in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve. Take care.

Well said. That is a beautiful tribute to Anthony. As you well know I share your thoughts and feelings. I feel like you have written exactly what I too am feeling. We have been through all of this together although living in different parts of the world.
I think of you often and was wondering if you were in Tuscany as you usually are this time of the year. Enjoy your time there and try to keep remembering all of the good times. We both have a lot of good memories. I know it isn’t easy and all the rest keeps coming back to us, but we were both fortunate to have had what we did even tho’ it didn’t last as long as we had planned.

You may not have noticed, but this discussion was posted several years ago. You may want to repost this in the introductions section as I think it will get more attention and more responses.
Other than to get more opinions which it looks like you are already doing, I don’t have any suggests at this time, but want to welcome you to this wonder family of caring people who will try to help in any way that they can.
Glad you have joined us, but sorry you had to. Hoping for the best for your mom and that you can get some answers and some help for her.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I have had a lot of those feelings in the past five years since Jim passed and found that getting it out, especially to those who truly understand and care does help lots.
Your life and those around you have been changed forever by this experience and great loss. It will never be as it was, but in time you will be able to remember all the good times and cherish those memories. Although you will always miss her the sadness will lessen somewhat as those memories bring you comfort.
Thinking of all of you and sharing your pain and sadness.
