I’m doing OK. Just got to keep going. No other choice.
I don’t eat a lot of fish either Lainy. Beer batter perch, scallops & lobster. Maybe shrimp now and then, but definitely not sushi!
Yes, it has been a long time. Where does the time go? I can’t believe that Jim has been gone over 8 years already. Some days it seems longer and others like it was yesterday.
Stay away from that fish & so will I! Take care.

darlaSpectatorLadies,
Thanks for your input on travel. Very good advice for them and others with the same questions.
Living life as normal as possible is so important.Hugs,

My thanks to Robin, Anne, Margie and all the others who worked so hard to make this happen. This is an Associated Press story that has been picked up by a lot of others and has pretty much gone viral! My husband Jim is pictured in the collage picture. First one in the second row. Hopefully this will do some good and if nothing else make more aware of this disease that is killing so many of our veterans. Good job ladies! And yes, it is fitting that it came out today, Veteran’s Day.
darlaSpectatorHi Katherine & Billy,
Don’t have much to add to what has already been said and not sure about the answer to your question but hope others will be on soon to help you out. I’m thinking she should ask her current doctors their thoughts on this. Just wanted to add another warm welcome to you both. You have found the best place to be for support and information regarding this disease. There are a lot of kind & caring people here ready & willing to help and support you both in any way that we can.
Take care and let us know how things are going. I’m hoping you will be able to take that weekend getaway soon.

darlaSpectatorJulie, I already posted on your other post, but wanted to post here too to let you know that I can totally understand why you are having a hard time emotionally. Once again, we care. Keep posting and also let us know how things are going and the results when you finally get them.
Just hang in there.Love & Hugs,
DarladarlaSpectatorSally,
So sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Hoping for a miracle.
Hugs,
DarladarlaSpectatorJulie,
Glad all went smoothly and hoping for good reports. I had a similar experience years ago with a bone marrow biopsy. They thought I had lupus which it turned out was misdiagnosed. I agree that it was not as bad as I was expecting. Mine was taken out of my spine. I was also numbed up and all I felt at the time was some pressure and afterwards a bit of soreness. Much like a bruise. I agree that it is not painful or anything to be afraid of. Hoping we can alleviate some fears for others. We will all patiently await hearing from you on the results. Take care.
Hugs,
DarladarlaSpectatorGavin,
A happy belated birthday from me too! My sons are 46 & 48 so you are like another son to me, too. Hope you had a great birthday. I came on here in September 2008. Close to the same time as you. Yes time sure does have a way of getting away from us, doesn’t it?
Hugs To All,
DarladarlaSpectatorMatt,
Thanks for this awesome update. So happy for you. Also nice to see that big smile on your face.
Hugs,
DarladarlaSpectatorLynn,
I too am sorry to hear this and know exactly how you feel. I lost my husband to this disease and then also watched my mom slowly decline and pass away from Parkinsons disease a few years later. None of this is easy, but know that we are all here for both you and Greg to help and support you in any way that we can. Take care and keep us updated as to how things are going.
Take care and know we are all thinking of you and hoping for the best.Hugs,

So sorry for your loss. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

darlaSpectatorDear Alicia,
I am so sorry to hear that your mom has passed away. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. Take care.

DarladarlaSpectatorHi JoJo,
Glad you found us, but sorry for the reason that you had to come here. So sorry to hear of what your sister is going through. I think consulting Dr. Javle is a good move as I know of others on here that speak highly of him. You are doing the right thing by getting another opinion from a doctor who has more experience with this cancer. You have definitely come to the right place for information as there is a lot of knowledge on this site and everyone is willing to help in any way that they can. It is usually a little slower on the weekends, but I am sure others will be here to welcome you and advise you soon. Take care and update us on how your sister is doing when you can. We care.
Darla
darlaSpectatorDear Rachael,
You and your family have my deepest sympathy for your loss. Robert sounds like an amazing person and his legacy to all will be with you forever. Hold him close to your heart and take comfort in all the fond memories.
Hugs,
