    Hi Beth,

Sorry to hear what Dave and you are now facing. As others have said, try to stay positive. I will be hoping things work out for the best tomorrow and you will know what is going on and get a plan of action in place. Think of you two and sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

Oh Lainy, I don’t think that is a fault, but if it is the worst one you have you are still the best. Keep calling, don’t let them ignore you! As for Teddy’s issues, Jim was on anxiety meds and also Fentenyl in the end and he seemed to rest peacefully for the most part. Although I too remember that scared look in his eyes and a tear now & again. Thinking of you both as always.

    Dear Kevin,

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about Kristin. I too am sorry to her that she has passed. It seemed to happen so quickly in the end, but atleast she did not have to linger on suffering and in pain and went peacefully with her loved ones by her side. She will be greatly missed as she was a great presence here with all her strength, courage and wisdom. Keep her with you in your heart and memories. Take care Kevin and know we are all here for you if you chose to stay with us.

    Michael,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I too know the pain and sadness you are feeling. My husband was 62 when he passed two years ago from CC. Try to be comforted knowing he is no longer in pain or suffering and that he will be with all of you forever in your hearts and memories. Know that I am thinking of you and your family at this sad and lonely time in your lives.

    Gavin,

I think you are on to something here. I am still trying to prove that Jim’s CC came from exposure to liver flukes in South East Asia and this appears to address that somewhat. I don’t really totally understand it either, but am going to do some more searching to see if I can find anything that will help my case for service connection of Jim’s CC. They have denied it and I am looking for information to appeal the denial. Thanks for posting this.

    Lisa,

This is just one more stumbling block, huh? After reading that, I think you are right. As long as you apply for the extension before the end of the initial 18 month period and supply them the determination info they are asking for, you should be good. I will be hoping that this is the case. Dealing with CC is more than enough without all these other hassles. Good Luck Lisa.

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla
