ModeratorHi Billy,
Hopefully Marion will be able to offer more insight into the transplant criteria in the US as it stands right now but these things change as well so please do not give up hope either. Have you had a read around the transplant and surgery board here on the site as well?
Best wishes,
Gavin

ModeratorHi there,
I’m not sure about this myself but I know others have had experiences with drains etc and hopefully someone will be along soon to offer some tips. In the meantime, if you want you could do a search here on the site as I know there are posts on this topic as it has come up before. The search forum function at the top of the page will throw up these discussions for you.
My best to you,
Gavin

ModeratorHi Billy,
Found a few links for you and hope that some of them will be of use/interest.

As far as transplants go in the US, I think the criteria is quite strict for eligibility but I think Marion will know much more about that then me as the criteria may have changed. I know that here in the UK for example transplant is not an option for CC patients. Hope some of that is of use to you.
My best to you and Kathy,
Gavin

ModeratorThanks for that Marion, good piece. And I agree with what you say about the online support. The help and support I got from everyone when I came here back in 08 was invaluable and I would say to anyone who reads the boards here but does not post, please come on in and join us here. We really do not bite and I am pretty certain that you will benefit from being here with us. Well with posting and everything, hope you know what I mean!
Thanks!
