Thanks sduggins! I just read the situation the wrong way I guess. I almost feared that MD Anderson had already given up on him as well. Not sure why I felt that way. I guess we are still learning
jeffgriederMemberMarc had the swelling in his feet and legs as well. Not sure what caused it. Though it is interesting what Margaret says about the Vicodin. Marc was on that at first, but it upset his stomach and they immediately changed his pain killer. The swelling did not start until after they took out the external drainage bag and put in the stent a week after that. They also put Marc on Lasek. However, the swelling did not go away until last week after his chemo treatment and they sent him home with a pair of Therapeutic Support Knee High Socks. Those really helped get rid of his swelling.
jeffgriederMemberYour words are very inspirational!

Great Day To You All!!!
jeffgriederMemberHello Bill and Jenny. You have come to the right place to connect with others about CC. I have only been here less than a month and I feel like I have known several of the others here for years. My life partner of over 10 years, Marc, was diagnosed last month with CC and is already going through chemo and you may have read our story on other threads. Even though we are still in great shock in this short period of time, we have great comfort in knowing that there is such great support through the CC Foundation.
Welcome to the Family!
jeffgriederMemberMarc is eligible for disability as he is now only working part time and unable to
jeffgriederMemberHey Lisa… Why did it take six months before you got a check if you were approved right away?
jeffgriederMemberThanks Lisa…. Marc is planning an appointment with SS to start the disability process. We are actually very lucky that he has a cancer policy through his work.
jeffgriederMemberFacebook is a great tool. I would say about 40 to 50% of my business comes from Facebook!
jeffgriederMemberThanks everyone. I am just afraid he is pushing himself to hard. And I also fear that it will affect his health now with this diagnoses of CC. And I did pose this question with DR. Giles, so thanks for the suggestion Marion.
I guess I should be happy that the chemo has not really affected him
jeffgriederMemberMy thoughts and prayers are with you Melissa!
jeffgriederMemberWOW
jeffgriederMemberGreat information Marion!
jeffgriederMemberWell, considering a do a little “female impersonation” on the side, this does sound like fun… LOL!
Anything we need to do to get our voices heard about this horrible disease sounds good to me.
jeffgriederMemberPin up girl???? Do tell!!!
