SpectatorDear Alice,
So very sorry that John has passed to the other side. I am glad that you were able to have the 2+ good years. Remember all the wonderful times you had together. Be strong. My prayers coming your way.

SpectatorSuzanne,
Rob’s tumors were first found in the liver. The first Cyberknife treatment was for 3 in the liver, one being pretty large. Is it the Cyberknife doctors that have told you that you cannot have the treatment or another kind of doctor? I find certain doctors like to keep you to there specialty only. If you have not sent your information to a Cyberknife facility I would recommend that you get their opinion. Best of luck.

So sorry we have to make your acquaintance here but welcome aboard. This is a very caring and helpful site. Home hospice has to be scary, waiting for new treatment options. Prayers for your Mom and family. Stay strong.
Karenkaren
SpectatorAlright Lisa…way to go. Hope they publish your letter to help make others aware of the orphan status cancer blights. Thanks!

SpectatorSuzanna,
My husband is pretty much symptom free. A very mild tummy ache sent him to the doctors/tests a year ago. He was never jaundiced or itching. Long story short he lost alot of weight just as he was finally getting his first Cyberknife treatment. Unfortunately the cancer metastized to his sprine and another to his liver so there was another round of Cyberknife. Right now he seems symptom free again (no pains, no weight loss) but I know that nasty disease is lurking in his body. Be thankful you are fortunate enough not to feel symptoms. You are in my prayers.

SpectatorDarla,
I can only imagine the horrible pain you are in. Prayers of comfort coming your way.

SpectatorGarvin,
Sorry you had to join our site, but welcome. My prayers for your Dad, you and your Mom. You are a wonderful son to care for your parents in the manner you do. Stay strong.
Karenkaren
SpectatorYou are certainly welcome…must be my printing background coming through. Looking forward to distributing the brochures and making more people aware of our blight. Thanks for all you hard work.
Karenkaren
SpectatorThe brochure looks fabulous! You guys did a great job. I have a question…if Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation is a non-profit organization how come the donation would be taxable? Is this another “lovely” loop hole the government has devised to only help certain organizations?

SpectatorWay to go Kristin! You are very fortunate to have a doctor that truly listens to you and then try to figure things out together. I think so many doctors just don’t get it. Congratulations!

SpectatorCharlene,
Prayers offered up for you and John. Enjoy every second with each other. Glad that his pain level is tolerable. And strength to you for this final journey of John’s.
Karenkaren
SpectatorSophie,
Prayers coming your way. Please do not give up hope. I do not remember if you have sought out alternative treatements, but perhaps this would give you some direction. The Mayo also turned my husband down and we are still fighting this terrible disease. Stay strong.
Karenkaren
SpectatorHooray! Let’s hope you get that magic #30 you were looking for.

SpectatorDear Lainy,
I ditto Belle’s message. I am sending my one page letter and hope this helps the cause in some small way. I am not much of a letter writter, but I did the best I could. Thank you for your efforts.
Karenkaren
SpectatorStacie,
Thanks so much. The more opportunities to help other people, the better. And thanks for attending the conference in Boston and giving us some insight as to the progress. I will send you my address.
