I joined the family fairly recently & never knew John, but I’ve read about him & have heard him spoken of with so much love. I am so, so sorry for the pain you’ve been through, are still going through & will go through as you deal with his loss. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to read your post & to have been allowed to do what I can to help. I wish there were more I can do – but I’m here, along with your other CC family members, & I’m thinking of you & sending all my very best wishes to you.
Please talk as much & as often as you want. We’re with you.

I hope you & your mum are doing well, Gavin – thanks for your comments about my sister. She was told her chemo would be put back a week because her Onc appointment couldn’t take place before Christmas & her chemo couldn’t take place until after that. She recently got an Onc appointment for today so, all being well, she should start cycle 4 next Wednesday, on schedule.
The problem is, we don’t know whether the appointment will go ahead today, due to all the travel problems. We’re going to ring the hospital as soon as the department opens to check. Fingers crossed!!
(Sorry to bleat about the snow in London – it must be much, MUCH more dramatic up your way!!!)

Dear LoveMyMomAD – I am so, so sorry to hear of your loss. You clearly are a wonderfully loving, caring person & your mum was so lucky to have you by her side, supporting her through this journey. Now she’s out of pain & at peace & will be watching over you, too.

Dear Snowlady & Joey – I’m sorry to be welcoming you both so late, but WELCOME anyway!!
I’m so sorry to hear all the stuff your fathers are going through – it’s so very hard on the family, too, isn’t it. We’re left feeling so helpless & lost sometimes.
My sister is on Gem/Cis, not Xeloda, so I can’t comment there, but I wanted to add my welcome to those of the others.
