im ok,im coping ,im doing my best.george has’nt changed much.still sleeping and just staring,he mumbled for me to answer the door cause his sister was here.he wont leave his recliner, his nurse said thats fine, thats where hes more comfy.i have been up most of the night,i slee next to him on the couch,i was up with every sound and movement he made.he did have an accident this morning,he couldnt get his belt undone fast enough,i washed him up and led him back to his recliner…you never know how much or how strong you can be until you have to…love and hugs lynn

ok,nurse just left, george stayed awake long enough to for vitals, they are good.she did see him in and out, with a confused look on his face.she explained that chemo will hit harder as time goes on.she asked about his pee color,i told her its darl and very little when he does go.he really isnt drinking anything, only sips water off and on.as i walked her outside she said he will only get weaker, and probally will be to weak for his next chemo in 2 weeks.and she also said he might be to weak for his blood work on wednesday….its just one day at a time she said.thank you guys for helping me through my first major crises..i dont know what i would do without you…love and hugs Lynn

pcl, george ate some soup about 2hrs befor he checked it,then 225, so he ate a bananna after that check, waited an hr,checked and it was 273,so he cut his mediformin in half, waited an hr,now its 302.im not sure what going on,this didnt happen after his first round of chemo,we are going to check again in 30 min, then i will call his nurse…thank you everybody, love you all…..Lynn

cristerry,hi,my husband was like the energizer bunny for a day or so after chemo,it was the steroids,he also had swollen feet and ankles, his chemo nurse said it was a side effect, and to keep his feet elevated and to keep an eye on them.after a few days they were back to normal, this was after his first round,he couldnt do the 2nd because his plateletes were low.i hope your husband feels better soon, love and hugs Lynn

thank you lainy,im feeling much better.Alla,,thank you for your helpful replys, what you said makes sense about the ca-19-9,his dr did say they were doing a scan in 2 weeks, after his 2nd round of chemo. As far as the confusion,it dos,nt happen often, but it is bothersome for me.george has been having problems with his blood pressure (low),i did call the 24 hr,nurse about that,we talked for about 10 minutes on what to do.miss kay(his nurse)will be out tomorrow.we just had a visit from him mom and cousin he hasnt seen in 10 years, george talked about when they were kids and didnt have to think about nothing when talking about his past,he remembered it so well…,there hasnt been any change in his meds, but he dont take them like he should, even tho miss kay said that wasnt good, she’ll get him for that…Love and hugs Lynn

hi Lainy, sorry i havent been on,i think i had a touch of a stomache virus,or something, just havent been feeling good,i think all this is catching up with me.george is soso,i have noticed that he has to think alot when talking,he will stop and forget what he was talking about,im trying everything under the sun to get his blood pressure back up,slowely going up tho,i went into the living room where he is and he was just staring at the tv thats normal, but he was holding the remote in the air not doing nothing…type to ya later love and hugs Lynn

thanks everybody, alla, come to think of it,i did ask his Dr about the ca-19-9,and this is what confuses me,she looked and said that nothing showed it was the same, and that sometimes it wont show.
Ok,i have a question if anyone can answer, how can i put this, heres an example..george got up and asked if i put the dog out this morning,he said he dont know if he got up and saw jake by the door,or he dream it,dose that make sense? thank everybody love and hugs Lynn

thanks lainy,im trying to be strong, this emotional rollercoaster is horrible, shortly after the update, george came to me and said he wants to sleep, why do i want to sleep so much.my rollercoaster took a nose dive,i was so hopeing that george would stay up for a little while, but 10-15 minutes was all he could handle,he has no pain now,but last night it was in his bottom, more pressure then pain..two long time friends came by today, and he said he didnt want to see anybody,i told him that his sister is comming later ,and he said no,and he also told me to call miss kay(his nurse)and tell her not to come,i didnt because i need to talk to her…well, more later love you all hugs Lynn.
