Hello Sara….thanks for posting. Where are you located, presently? Thereasphere is done at John Hopkins as dim2010 has mentioned however, there are many other places who will also treat with Therasphere. Due to the Holidays others may lag behind in responding to your questions so, please don’t hesitate to re-post in a few days.
    So, glad for joining us.
Tons of good wishes coming your way,
    Marion

Hello Debbie….and welcome to our Cholangiocarcinoma/bile duct family. Thank you so very much for sharing your story and being so kind to be thinking of those who may be learning from your experience with this cancer. I wish you continued success with the radiation and Xeloda therapy. Between both treatments your husband is experiencing what most do and that is extreme tiredness but, as you may have already read, it will recede correct itself as time goes on. I am looking forward to a positive report after January’s testings have been completed. I am wishing for you and your family a successful New Year.
    Good wishes coming your way,
    Marion

Hello Pam…I have not had a chance to look up your previous posting. Just wanted to confirm the link. Is it http://www.labtestonline.org? If so, would you mind posting it under New Developments, also? This way it won’t get lost until Rick can move it to wherever he feels it to be best for others to use this valuable resource.
    Thanks Pam,

Vilarob…..”cancer free” is the magic word we are looking for. Thank you for sharing with us and allowing us to see first-hand that diligence and the pure act of being pro-active can bring about these incredible changes. I am hoping for you to continue to share with us.

vkapur…I agree with Jean however, in my husband’s case we had a PT scan only once. I remember our surgeon insisting on a 3D-scan and the oncologist requesting a CT scan. Seemes as if different doctors prefer one over the other. Others may also have some answers to this.

Hello vkapur….IPT was used by Joe Coburn and Marianne is a real expert on this. You might want to use the Search Function and type in IPT. Others may also have some information for you however, this is a good place to start.
    Good luck,

Dave….just wondering: have you had a second or third opinion in re: to treatments options? Has any type of radiation been ruled out, also? In re: to food is there anything your wife has an appetite for? Hopefully, there is something she would like to eat which then of course, you could have for her. Gemzar and Xeloda are some of the standard treatments used for bile duct cancer and you should find out soon about the shrinkage. Hang in there. We have seen some great responses on this board. I think the best you can do is to gain as much knowledge as possible. Then you will be able to make informed decisions. The search function is a great place to start as it contains a wealth of wisdom passed on by members on this site.
Sending tons of hugs in your direction.

Sophie….I am just recalling Jeff’s comments about stool softener. He had left some specific instructions in one of his postings. You might want to use the search function by entering: “Stool softener” and by entering JeffG. Also, remember to drink your liquids as per Jeff for fluid retention.
Hugs and good wished coming your way,
    Marion
