    Dear Lorraine,

I am very sorry to hear of Rosalinda’s passing. It is so hard to say goodbye to a loved one, but we must believe she is in a place that is free of pain and suffering. My heart goes out to you as you come to terms with your loss.

    Love,
    -Pam

Thank you all so much for your kind words. What in the world would I do without all of you, my sweet friends. I know Lauren is in a better place and I’m sure Teddy had a seat for her at the banquet table. That table has to be getting quite large as we have lost so many to this disease. Our family promises to fight for a cure and never give up as a tribute to Lauren and all the wonderful souls before her that were taken too soon. God Bless you all and I will be back to help real soon.

    Love to all,
    -Pam

    Hi Pattimelt,

I love the bible verse. I am sorry the SIRT did not show signs of shrinkage. Sometimes it takes some time to show a difference. In Lauren’s case, her Theraspheres didn’t really show on the scans that they worked, but once she had surgery all the tumors were dead!! So I will keep the faith that this is your case. I always have hope. Gem/Cis is a great chemo and helped Lauren a lot. Just try not to worry and make yourself sick. I think a positive outlook does wonders. I’m wishing you all the best.

    Love,
    -Pam

    Dear Michelle,

I am sorry for all the physical and mental pain you and your husband have had to endure. If he is on Xeloda, can the doctor lower his dose to make his pain more bearable? Lauren had a hard time with Xeloda and she was finally switched back to 5-FU which is similar and the foot pain went away. I did get Lauren some special foot cream for use with Xeloda online and it did make her feet feel better. I can look it up if you want some. It is kind of pricey, but well worth it. I can’t imagine having to wait so long for results. That is pure torture. There are wonderful social workers at U of M that you also might be able to vent to. Lauren spoke with one once and felt much better afterwards. Hoping and praying for you and your family.

    Love,
    -Pam

    Hi Willow,

Lauren has never had any problems with Lorazepam. I would think it might be the Xeloda. She has been through so much and with the loss of your father, might be experiencing some depression. I am sorry for your loss. I would talk to her doctor about the symptoms. Maybe she needs an antidepressant to help her along. I am praying for a miracle for her as well.

    Love,
    -Pam

Thank you so much to all of you. I hope it isn’t too inconvenient for all of you to check the blog. It makes it easier for me. Mark is so funny. He sets up a table tray by her bed and reads to her and now they are playing poker!! she opens her eyes when he talks to her, so that is good. I’m sure she wants to tell him to be quiet. Talk to you all later.

All of your thoughtfulness and love brings me to tears. What would I do without all of you. They are taking Lauren to the OR at around 11 this morning to make sure everything is ok and close her up. Hopefully, things will get better after that.
