Eli,
Yeah, I saw that too. We don’t use that extension because we approve each registration as it comes in. It’s not only disabled, but its uninstalled.
Rick
rickKeymasterOk, it looks like it is only a bug with Internet Explorer. I’ve seen a lot of webdeveloper boards dedicated to talking about it, and I may have found a fix.
I’ve implemented the coding change, keep using the forums for a few days until the old one works itself out of your cache. Let’s see if that works, at least for reasonable sized messages. Let’s try to keep the books to a minimum.
(and I went and tried it on my wife’s computer, you’re right, that’s pretty annoying.)
I can also suggest:
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
and
http://www.google.com/chromeas fixes.
rickKeymasterThanks Margaret,
Huh. That’s an odd problem. I can’t even imagine what would cause that.
Can you tell me what browser you’re using (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome) and what kind of operating system you’re using (Windows XP, 7 or Mac, etc.) and I’ll do some investigating.
Rick
rickKeymasterUnfortunately, I don’t have anything older, neither does my database provider.
I’ll make sure to take steps in the future to make sure that it doesn’t happen again, but for now that data is lost.
(I have however found Andy’s entry cached in Google and I have restored it. If you find other posts cutoff, post the link here and I’ll see what I can do to restore.)
rickKeymasterThanks, I’ve looked at my database backup and they’re cutoff there too. I’m checking with older versions of my backup to see what I can do. I’ll let you know.
rickKeymasterHey there, there actually is a limit, there always has been.
It’s 35,000 characters. I doubt you typed that much.
If you experience it again, can you tell me exactly what the message said?
Thanks!
rickKeymasterThanks Patti,
I checked our backup and it has the same info as above.
There’s not a limit on the amount of text that can be posted. (I’ve seen several other very long posts that are intact.)
I’ll do some asking around to see if others that use this board are experiencing the same problem, right now there’s no report of that issue.
Thanks, Rick
rickKeymasterEveryone, the paragraph spacing is fixed. I figured, why wait for them? (Then I had to go edit my first entry again.)
rickKeymasterGavin, the paragraph spacing is an issue that has been reported and is being addressed right now by the developers. I noticed it too. (and went back and edited my original post.)
rickKeymasterLainy! It worked! Must have been the old stuff stuck in your computer.
rickKeymasterit’s been reinstalled and upgraded. (sorry for the default background, I will make it pretty as soon as I have a few minutes.)
Thanks!
rickKeymasterSorry guys,
Not sure why it’s not working. May have to completely reinstall, I will let you know by Tuesday.

rickKeymasterDianne, you can’t “attach” it, but if you email it to me I can upload it and I can post a link to it.
rickKeymasterMark!
If only it were up to me! It seems like Heather has this whole thing already lined up. She’s given me the name/phone of my “stylist.” She’s given me the address of where I need to get measured. She’s even given me the name of the company loaning me clothes “and accessories.” (whatever that means.)
It seemed like a such a good idea at the time, right? Now everyday I get more and more nervous. I think a few stiff drinks may come in handy.
Anyway. 850! More than a third of the way there with 20 more days to go. YIKES.
