Less than 1.0 is normal in the states. So, I’m still in normal range, but I don’t like to see it go up!
tiff1496MemberI sure hope so!! I’m shocked it dropped that much in a month. I think it’s the xeloda!! I have been on it a month.
tiff1496MemberI just got my blood work report from md Anderson. My ca19-9 dropped from 52 to 33 in less than a month!!
tiff1496MemberKris- your right. I just needed to put my trust in them. It’s hard!!! I can’t find that post on Dichloracetate. Can you post the link for it, or send me in the right direction? I would like to read up on it. I want to go to MDA with a load of info.
tiff1496MemberI just wish I knew where THE BEST is. I’m willing to go any where. This is so hard and confusing.
tiff1496MemberThanks y’all. I’m going to print this out and show it to dr. Javle when we are at MDA. I will update with what he says.
I’m lucky to have a natural tan. I don’t ever sun burn, but I will use SPF 30 this year.
We do get a lot of sun here in the south.tiff1496MemberI agree with Kris and other. Please get to a major cancer center. Look around at all the sites and see who you like best.
I do travel to MDA. We love it there. I see Dr. Javle, he is an awesome doctor. We do fly, and have to stay in a hotel for a few days. Its totally worth it. I will travel or go anywhere to get a cure!
tiff1496MemberMost of you know.
I’m being treated by dr. Javle at md Anderson. I also see a local onc here in Huntsville, al. Her name is dr. Shah.
Dr. Javle is awesome, and knows a lot about cc. Dr. Shah is learning more about cc everyday thanks to me.tiff1496MemberI see dr. Javle. I love him. He really is a great person, and I can tell he really cares about me as a person and not just a patient.
Md Anderson is huge!!! But everyone there is so helpful. We have even had doctors stop us in the hall when we looked confused to help us find our way.I wish your son all the best of luck. Rest easy knowing he is in good hands with dr. Javle.
tiff1496MemberHi! I’m also on xeloda. I have been om it for 7 days so far and don’t have any side effects other than being a little more fatigued. What side effects did they tell you about? My doctor talked like xeloda is an easy chemo.

If you have any questions about tarceva please feel free to ask me, I have been on it almost 6 months.tiff1496MemberErin- I’m so sorry. Yall have been so heavy on my heart. Praying things get better for Tim.
But good news!!!
Look like I will be seeing you soon!! I talked to my sister tonight and she and my brother in law will be running! Brian and I are going to tag along! :o)
tiff1496MemberI’m so sorry about your mother. I didnt have Spyglass on me, but a biopsy of my liver. The sample was easy for them to get, and I didn’t feel any pain due to the meds they gave me (I was freaking out).

Dr. Sonnenday seems very nice and understanding. And just seeing that he posted here and took the time to email me, lets me know he cares about people and finding the cure!
Thinking about yall, and I hope Lauren is doing good.xoxo Mama Pam!
