Feel free to contact me if you have more questions about him.
I had done some research on other Chicago area hospitals and docs who seem to specialize in cc and found this information, though I have no personal experience with them:

Dr. Pawlik performed an 8 hour surgery on Ted, but a liver resection was not possible due to the extent of the tumor. He took out his gall bladder and performed a Roux en y to allow better drainage for the bile which has been instrumental in keeping his GI area functioning properly. Dr. Pawlik is highly regarded in this area of surgery and has performed many successful liver resections.

August 7, 2009 at 6:37 pm #29897amyleaSpectatorMom goes to IU Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Attila Nakeeb was the surgeon who did her Whipple procedure and her hernia surgery… we loved him!
Romne Clark is her oncologist
Higinia Cardenes is her radiation oncologistWe have been so fortunate. They are all wonderful to work with! It is so helpful, because they all work together and keep each other updated on how Mom is doing.

August 7, 2009 at 12:23 pm #29896kristinSpectatorIf you need to find a good oncologist and live in a small town far from any big cancer centers, I highly recommend asking every doctor and nurse you know (even socially) about who they would want treating them if they got cancer.
I live in a town of 10,000 in central Kentucky, and that’s how I found my wonderful, wonderful oncologist– a nurse I’m friends with told me about him. (The one I had at the University of Kentucky cancer center was a gloomy, pessimistic, unhelpful dork.)
