DarlaHi nk, I am so sorry for your loss and truely understand your pain and sadness. My husband passed away 9/2/08 and I still miss him so much. The love & support I have gotten here is what gives me the strength to go on. Thinking of you and hoping for better days ahead for you. Hi Tommy, Glad you have found us, too. Welcome to our “family”. We are a great bunch and are here to listen and also to help & support each other. We all understand. There is more information on CC on these boards than any where else. We have all been touched by it in one way or another and the amount of knowledge here is amazing.

I’m so sorry for what you are feeling and what you and Tom are experiencing. I remember having similar experiences and knowing that although they were sending us home, we would be back in no time at all and I was right. Keep venting if it’s what you need. We are all here to listen and many of us know exactly how it feels. I know it is hard, but try to take care of yourself too. As caregivers we tend to let things go as our priorities are with our loved ones, but you need to take care of yourself too so you can be strong for Tom.

I am so sorry to read of Mary’s passing. It did seem that she may have been one of the lucky ones. In a way she is. She is now in a better place and no longer suffering. She was fortunate to have had her loved ones there for her. What a wonderful and appropriate inscription for the crematorium container. She will be with all of you forever in your heart’s and memories. You all have my deepest sympathy and understanding. My heart & thought’s are with you today.

Everything went so fast for us that I didn’t experience what you are, but you have gotten a lot of good feedback on this. I tend to agree that it is an anticipatory grief as I have read about it on here before. Just wanted to chime in and let you know I am think of you. You are a wonderful, supportive sister and also a very strong lady and you will get through this. We are all here to help.
