    Hi Dianne,

Not sure about the how & why, but there is a definate connection. When Jim was being treated he began to develop blood clots that keep multiplying even when on the blood thinners. This is when they started to suspect cancer. We were told that uncontrollable blood clots is a sign of cancer somewhere in the body. Jim never was able to be treated with chemo/radiation as he was too compromised by the time it was found and never regained enough strength to tolerate treatment, so I am not sure about taking the blood thinners along with treatment. That is something you should talk to his oncologist about.

    Melissa,
I too am sorry to hear that your Mum has past on. No words can soften the sadness and grieving, but be comforted knowing she is in a better place, no longer suffering and she will always be with you in your heart and memories.

All I can say is I think you are all totally amazing. I only wish things hadn’t gone so quickly that we never had a chance to think or do some of the things you are doing. –Darla

    Wow Jeff,

What next. Sorry to hear about your brother on top of all of Marc’s problems. Hopefully his has not spread and that Marc’s is just a virus and he will be feeling better soon.

    Hi Laurie,

I really don’t have much more to offer than you have already been given, but do want to welcome you to the site and let you know I am thinking of you and hoping for the best. Take care and keep in touch. There are a lot of good people here who understand and care and all are willing to share information, support or just an ear when you need to vent.

    Kirstin,

Yes, life is strange. Especially when it comes to CC. My thoughts ran along the same lines as Lainy’s, so I too am happy to hear that it was “just” a virus! Take care Kirstin. Hopefully by now you are back to normal, whatever that is!

    Hi Kate,

My story is so similar to yours. I lost my husband a year and a half ago. He was 62, healthy and less than 2 months after his first symtoms he was gone. There are several on this site that have experienced what you have and are now trying to deal with it all. I know how hard it is. The pain and sadness are always there. I think we just eventually learn how to live with it and try to go on.

I found this site a few days after he passed away and have found it comforting. I have gotten so much help & support and I also hope I have been able to do the same for others who come here. I feel that by trying to help others I am also helping myself.

Losing both of your parents in such a short time had to be doubley hard to handle. I am glad that you are getting help to deal with your feelings.

Take care and stay in touch. The people on this site are so supportive and helpful. Let us know how you are doing.

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla
