    Dear Stella,

I totally understand how you are feeling. I went through much the same thing as you. My husband died less than 2 months from the first time I had to take him into emergency and only 10 days after getting a definitive diagnosis.
I found this site a few days after he passed and it was a life saver for me, although I do understand how you are feeling as some times it is still hard to read and respond to some posts. Every one grieves in their own way at their own pace. Please just remember that if and when you are ready, we are all here for you. For now you need to do what you have to do to take care of yourself.

Glad to hear Mark is feeling much better. You two relax and enjoy the wedding. Fingers crossed that all goes well in the next two weeks, too.

    Matt,

That is wonderful news! Thanks for sharing it with us. Good luck tomorrow with the colonoscopy, then go on and enjoy your life for the next 6 months and the 6 months after that and the 6 months after that etc. :) I know that everyone has to make there own personal decision about adjuvant chemo, but I tend to agree with you on the too much risk for too little benefit. Enjoy!

I am so sorry to hear that your mother has passed away. Try to take some comfort in knowing that at least she did not have to suffer for a long time and is no longer in pain or suffering. Keep her with you forever in your heart and memories. You have my deepest sympathy.

    Chrisna,

Welcome. Glad you found us but sorry you had to. I agree with the others that at 2nd and maybe even a 3rd opinion should be sought to try to get more answers and options before making a decision. Hoping for the best results for your dear friend Mike. You are truly a good & loyal friend. Take care.

    Matt,

Never having dealt with any of that I can’t really help you, but I think what KrisV said makes a lot of sense. Try not to let the anxiety get the best of you.
Easy for me to say, huh? I hope all goes well next week at Mayo and you come back to us with a great report. Wishing you lots of luck.

    Dear Nancy,

I am so sorry to hear that Frank has been moved to the hospice facility. I know how much this hurts, but I’m sure Frank knows you did your best for him and that right now this was what needed to be done. I was in a different but similar situation as Jim wanted to die at home and he died the morning I was making the arrangements to bring him back home with hospice care. I felt like I had let him down at first too, but have made my peace with that and know now that I did the best I could and it just wasn’t meant to be. Like Margaret, we didn’t get a chance to say the things we wanted to say and I agree with her that you should do and say what ever you feel you need to while you still can. My heart is also breaking for both of you. Make the most of the time you have with him. Know that we are all here for you.

    Mary,

I’m so sorry to hear you are not doing well. Let’s hope it is just a bump in the CC road and things will start to improve for you soon. Keep updating us when you can and let us know how things are going. Thinking of you and hoping for the best. Take care.

    Makua,

I too hope you are not contagious and will be able to visit your son.

I have to agree with you on the flu shot situation. I seldom get sick, but did get really sick after the one time I got a flu shot. Absolutely refuse them now no matter what they say.

Hope the doctor’s appointment goes well and he says you can go visit your son without worrying about compromising him. I too hope that the chemo regime goes well for him.

    Take care.

    Love & Hugs,

    Hi Kris,

I’ll go with the positive first. Glad Mark is feeling better. As for the rest, hopefully it will all sort itself out. Good job installing the dishwasher. It’s amazing the things we can accomplish when we have to. Take care. I hope everything works out for you with your job.
