    Dear GracefulMeadow86,

What a wonderful tribute in remembrance of your Dad. I also believe that our loved ones are still near and around us, just not in the physical sense. I too would like to hear more of your story when you are ready. Grieving is not easy, but the pain will soften with time. Take care.

    Terry,

I think everything Pam said is oh so true. She said it well. It has been almost 2 1/2 years for me and I can tell you that everything she said is what I feel and have experienced. I am fortunate to be self-employed and also had a customer who has become a very close friend after finding out that both of our husbands passed within 3 months of each other. Our lives and situations are so similar and also so unique that we seem to understand exactly what the other is going through. We have really been able to help and support each in so many ways that others who haven’t been there can’t understand. Hang in there and when you feel that no one else cares or understands, come back here. We do.

    Dear Hans,

Thanks for sharing another lovely Tribute to Kris with all of us here. How wonderful that Suzanne and Terry were able to be there to share it with all of you. I’m glad everything went well and you were able to share some joy along with the sadness. She will be fondly remember although greatly missed by all. Thinking of you.

    Erica,

I am so sorry to hear that your mom has passed on. Unfortunately so many of us here have been where you are now and know how you are feeling. We can only be grateful that our loved ones are now in a better place and no longer suffering or in pain. Know that she will always be with you in your heart and memories. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Sarah,

I agree with the others. Everyone’s situation is different and handle their grief in different ways and in there own time. It is a very personal thing. I don’t think it is something we every truely get over. We learn how to live and go on, but somewhere inside it is always there. Hopefully you and Hannah will draw strength from each other and find a way to work through all of this and learn how to deal with this new way of life. I have been where you are now and I know how it feels as do many others here on this site. We are all here to help each other and will be here for you too. Thinking of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am glad he passed peacefully with both of you at his side. Know that he will always be with you in your heart and memories. He is now in a better place, no longer suffering or in pain. These next days will be trying, but know we are all here for you.

    Terry,

Thanks for sharing your day of rememberance. What a wonderful way to remember Wayne. I am sure it was comforting for both of you. I think you are doing really well. We will never forget our loved ones or “get over it” but time does have a way of helping us to heal and softening the pain. I am glad that the continued therapy is helping you get by. Take care Terry.

    Sarah,

I am so sorry to hear that Ben has passed on. I too have been where you are now. You seem to have a great attitude and out look and I know Ben is looking down on the two of you smiling. His journey is over. He is no longer in pain or suffering and your journey is now beginning. Know that he will be with you forever in your hearts and memories. My thoughts are with you and Hannah at this sad time. I am glad you found this site, too. There are a lot of great people here willing to help and support you any way that they can. Keep coming back.

    Hans,

Thanks for letting us know that both you and Kris have arrived safely with no problems along the way. I am so relieved for you that there were no issues to deal with on the flight to take her home. What a strange, sad journey this must be for you. I too will be with you in spirit on Saturday with all of you in my thoughts and prayers, especially you, dear Hans.

    Hi Marion,

It took me a while to find this thread. :) Have a lot going on here right now and have only been checking in now and then. I’m not sure if I will be able to get down there at that time or not, but will keep it in mind and Barb thank you for the offer of a place to stay if needed. I appreciate that. I will be watching for updates as the time gets closer. Hope everything is going well for both of you.

    Dear Beth,

I just had a feeling about this today and when I saw the post I didn’t even want to go on and read what I knew was there. I am so sorry for your loss. We have all been through all the ups and downs with you and Dave and the determination, love & strength you all showed along the way. Although this is a difficult time for all of you, I will repeat what I have said so often. Dave is now at peace and no longer suffering and he will always be with you in your heart and memories. He will always be all around you. Thinking of you, Maycie and the rest of your family and praying for strength, comfort and peace for all of you in the days to come.

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla
