SpectatorI am under palative care now and it is great. I am still getting treatments, but they are putting my comfort first. It is a nice change.
I am not sure about brain metastasies so I can only offer my best wishes.

SpectatorSorry, I have never heard of it. I hope some one comes along and gives some insight. Until then, I will google and see what there is.

SpectatorLainy,
So glad Teddy is enjoying his new living space. I am hoping that when I need to, I will be as good a girl as Teddy is being a good boy. I bet the shower girl was the best part of the day. The one thing I love about living in the hospital is the nice bib shower stool and the unending hot water. I dont know what it is but water has a way of relaxing, refreshing, and recharging you. IT is a magic substance. We will not be having Thanksgiving here. I will not cook a feast in which I cannot partake! We have a tradition where we go around the table and list things we are thankful for. We will do that but likely with a pasta for Hans and a soup for me.
Lainy, one of my greatest fears is being in pain at the end stage. I get so much strength and comfort from your posts on Teddy and how well he manages. Thank you.

SpectatorPerhaps you could arrange the meeting with hospice for the day after your consult. If you do it in advance hopefully the lag time for transition into hospice will not be so great.

SpectatorAndrea,
That full feeling is very common with cc. So are the naps. I indulge in naps regularly. It upsets me but I need them so what can you do.I am glad you are looking into cyberknife. Let us know how it goes.
Hang in there.

SpectatorThinking of you and your family. Everything seems like it is peaceful so far and that is one thing we all want during this period. Are they trying to control the vomiting or is it not that bad?
How are you doing?

SpectatorI cannot imagine how difficult it must have been for the kids to leave. IT must be confusing and upsetting for everyone involved. Stay strong and know that you have a group of people waiting to offer support and experience to help you through this time.

SpectatorPam,
I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like your dad had a beautiful and peaceful passing and in the end that is something so special and priceless. I wish we could all go in the same manner.I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

SpectatorKim,
Your poor husband. He really just loves you so much that he only wants to be a rock for you, not another worry. Silly man. After 4 years of dealing with my cc, Hans still will try to hide things from me that might make me worry. You cant help but love them more for that (though the truth does eventually always come out).I dont know anything about fatty liver, but lets hope it is as you said…just a change in diet and activity. Hugs to you and your husband and hope all goes well.

SpectatorI have back pain and have had numerous bone and ct scans and xrays over the past 2 months. All clear in the bones and areas that would cause back pain. It has been decided that the back pain is caused by being in bed too much.
