Hello Ironbark,
We’ve not ‘met’ before, but I wanted to offer you my condolences. This is just a gosh-awful disease the way it tears through a patient, and the hearts of those left behind.
May you find comfort in your sweet memories of your father.

Count yourself lucky (sort of) that you still have energy, and perhaps even your appetite. Enjoy your pain/symptom free life for as long as you can. Really, live it up!
My sister is seemingly going downhill quickly now. A month ago, she was still very robust, but now, even her head scarf just sits loosely around her head while she can barely get around. She has lost a lot of weight, clearly noticeable in her upper torso and face. Her abdomen just gets bigger, and she has around 4 or so liters (~16 cups) drained every 3

Markers are just that, markers. Generally, it seems that the CA 19-9 marker is found in cases of obstructive jaundice caused by cc, however, it is also used as a marker for cancer in the pancreas. My sister

Wow! How cool is that to have loving people, and strangers to boot, care about others.
Don’t know off hand if anyone has wondered about their chances of inheriting this awful cc, but, as there are already now three generations of cancer (my father and his mother had pancreatic cancer, and now my sister, whose tumor seems to be on the head of the pancreas, but is still considered cc) I consulted with my gastro doctor. There is a test, EUS, endoscopic ultra sound, where they can take a look-see around to check for abnormalities in the gastro areas; pancreas, liver, gallbladder. I had this done and highly recommend it to others. There
