I forgot to say Anne-Marie, would you mind going over to this thread on the site here and posting info about the surgeons and treatments that you had in S.A and Australia? We are trying to get as much info worldwide about doctors, hospitals etc that have experience in treating patients with CC and as far as I can recall, we don’t have much here on the site about S.A.

    Thanks so much!

    Best wishes,

    Gavin

    Hi Anne-Marie,

Welcome to the site! Sorry that you had to find us all here but glad that you’ve joined as you are so in the best place for support and you will get a ton of that here from everyone. Thanks as well for sharing your story, that certainly has been some journey for you both medically and with the miles!

I think you may be one of our firsts, diagnosed and treated in one continent and operated again on another continent! Glad to hear that you were able to have your surgeries and I so hope that you get some good news from your surgeon at the end of the month. Please let us know what is said.

I too hope that all will turn out well for you and please know that you are not alone in this now, we are all here for you and we care. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

    My best wishes to you,

    Gavin

    Dear Sammie,

I too agree with what Lainy and Darla have said to you about everything and I so wish your dad his peace. Although you may not be there in person with him tonight I know that you will all be with him all the same. My thoughts tonight are with you, your dad and all of your family.

    Hi Gros,

I hope that your mum will get some good news at UCH in London and I know that she will be in good hands there as they have good experience in treating patients with CC. Please let us know what happens when she goes to see them there and let us know what they say. We are here for you.

My best wishes to you and your mum,

    Gavin

A very slow speed process it is getting drugs approved is it not.But then again it has to be thorough doesn’t it and that takes time. Think that the speed that they are trying to come up with drugs to fight ebola is remarkable but that is hopefully a one off situation. It can take the best part of a decade can it not to get drugs through all the R&D, trials and finally approved for patients ?

    Sammie,

Thinking of you, your dad and all of your family right now. Everything that you talk of now I can so relate to and I so know what you are going through at this time. As Darla says, we are here for you.
