Dear David,
We are so glad that you’re still here and kicking! Please make sure you get enough rest time, it helps. If your WBC are too low for the Gemzar treatment, you may be able to get your doctor to prescribe Neupogen which will help with that.

I’ve been thinking about you and hoping your Surgery goes well on Monday.

glightfootMemberDear Jeff,
I’m so sorry to hear that the Tarceva didn’t work for you.
G
glightfootMemberHi Lisa,
I, too worked after my diagnoses for nearly 2 years. It’s a big decision to make, to take a medical retirement. But, no one is going to ring the bell for you to let you know it’s time to do it and I think it’s smart for you to do so while you still have the energy to enjoy it. I hope your disability and tax guy will be able to support your decision. I’m sure your kids will understand how important it is.

glightfootMemberHi Sophie,
I think it’s good to let your daughter know about what you would like done. You aren’t jinxing yourself, just getting things off your mind.
I’ve been on and off chemo for years. This last time I’ve been getting it every other week since August. I’m taking an extra week in between treatments this week since I feel like the last one hit me pretty hard and I could use an extra break before going back again.
I hope your draining problem will get better. Sending some electronic cheers your way.

glightfootMemberUnfortunately, I applied for Social Security Disability and was denied due to lack of sufficient years of work. Did anyone else run into this problem?
G
glightfootMemberHi Kris,
I’m glad that you are getting some medical help. It’s scary to lose all that weight. It must be so frustrating not to be able to communicate more clearly with your doctors.
I would be curious as to how they can pick up on bone mets.
Good luck with your ERCP on Monday, it’s going to be more pleasant.
Sending some eHugs your way,
G

glightfootMemberDear Kris,
I glad to hear that you’ll be getting some help with your Swedish doctor (pounce). I hope that your digestion will be working better for you, I know how hard that can be to control. No weird fish dishes!

glightfootMemberJeff,
I am sad to hear that you’ve had so much pain. Your candor and continual grace under fire is an inspiration to me as we all have our trials. I hope that you’ll have a good Thanksgiving. We have much to be grateful for.
