SpectatorWay to go Suzanne,
So happy for the good news and how wonderful your doctors are so aggressive. Seems we always have to push to get things done, you are fortunate that is not the case on your end. Hope that MRI is a good one!

SpectatorDear Jeff,
Keep that ever positive attitude. No one knows what is down the road. You are lifted in prayer.

SpectatorPatsy,
So sorry on the passing over of your Dad, but now he is a wonderful place without the terrible pain he was experiencing here. Prayers for you and your family as you travel the grieving process.

Have you talked with the government provided lawyer for appealing a disability claim denial? We found them very helpful to our cause and we succeeded in overturning the denial. Best of luck.

SpectatorHi Kris,
With Rob they found the metatisic tumor in his sprine with a MRI. He has never had a PET scan, but I have been told this locates cancer cells anywhere they maybe located in your body. You as well as everybody affected on this site are in my prayers. Hope the doctors’ find good answers for you soon.

SpectatorMarion,
Just my input on the Disability. With the government CC is considered End Stage Renal Disease. My husband used a SSI lawyer (provided free from SS) because he had other issues to battle with SS. I think as long as you can provide proof of diagnois of CC there is no question about receiving Disability.

SpectatorJust something to consider…my husband had siatic (sp?) pain down his leg for several months. Primary doctor sent him for xrays and was told he had arthritis in his spine and gave him medicine. The pain persisted and his radiation oncologist sent him for a MRI of his spine. Turned out he had a tumor in his spine that was putting pressure on the siatic nerve. My husband was given Cyberknife treatment for the tumor and the pain subsided. As a precaution, don’t let the pain persist too long without having a professional have a look. Wish you a speedy recovery on your operation.

SpectatorJan,
My sincere sympathies on the passing of your Dad. Know peace in your heart that he is now with your Mom and our Lord. Wishing you strength for getting through the grieving process.

SpectatorCarol,
My thoughts and prayers are with Charlie and you during this terribly trying time. These insurance companies are so heartless.

SpectatorJeff,
Sending special prayers for you and your family. Sit back, relax and enjoy the holidays as best as possible. You are truly an inspiration and I feel privileged to have made your acquaintance on this website. Wish I could give back to you as much as you have given to us.
God Bless,
Karenkaren
SpectatorStacie,
I don’t think I ever gave you an update on the distribution of the brochures. Went to Beth Isreal Deaconess in the beginning of the month and Rob’s radiation oncologist was very interested in the brochure and especially the foundation. While there I was able to place the brochures in quite a few areas thoughout the hospital (since I had time on my hands during the 3 days of treatment Rob received). Spread the word! Thanks for providing the information.

SpectatorThe PET scan requirement must depend upon the individual BC/BS insurance company. Rob did not have to have a PET scan. I wish they had done one so we are aware if there are any other tumors to treat.
