Charlene,
Prayers coming your way for you and John. I know your heart is breaking. Wish there was some way to ease your and John’s suffering.
KarenkarenSpectatorHi Patti,
My husband was using Ensure Plus. This helped him to regain some of the wieght he had lost. Each liquid serving is around 350 calories. I don’t know if there is any immune boosting properties in the drink but it is fortified with many vitamins and minerals. Best of luck with getting the operation.
KarenkarenSpectatorDear Lana,
So very sorry to learn of your father’s passing. Sounds like he was a wonderful person, so giving, so loving. And you have been a fantastic daughter, there for him in these long months of this dreadful disease. I am sorry he never received the surgery from Dr. Canady. I had kept praying that he would. Take care of yourself Lana. You are not alone…we are all holding hands against this disease.
KarenkarenSpectatorSophie,
The waiting game is the WORST! Try to distract yourself doing something that makes you happy or relaxed. Listen to music that makes you feel good. Play it LOUD so you can’t hear the voices in your head that present all the questions. Try (and I know how hard this is) not to dwell every waking minute on the upcoming operation and the cancer. We are currantly waiting to hear if our insurance company will “grant” my husband Cyberknife treatment on his surprise mets tumor in his spine as well as to the new tumor that was discovered on his last scan in his liver. The previous Cyberknife treatment to the tumors in his liver still show that they are essentially “dead”. But like you said the state of mind changes each day. Prayers to all.
KarenkarenSpectatorWay to go Kris! Awesome news. I’m sure your husband will love being driven crazy.
KarenkarenSpectatorBarb, prayers coming your way. Stay strong. Thanks for keeping us informed Kris.
KarenkarenSpectatorHi Lainy,
My husband had Cyberknife treatment in February of this year and his latest scan (this week) showed the treated tumors to be “dead”. Unfortunately a new, little one has appeared. Good luck and prayers to Teddy and you.
KarenkarenSpectatorHey Jeff,
Good luck with your new regimen! Kick this damn disease in it’s butt. Have a great trip to Maine.
KarenkarenSpectatorDear Steve,
So very sorry for your loss. I pray for your grieving process to be kind. I am sure Lana will be in your heart forever. Be good to yourself.
KarenkarenSpectatorJeff,
Prayers be with you. You know we are all pulling for you to make year 10 and beyond. You are certainly an inspiration. Hang tough!
KarenkarenSpectatorLisa,
I feel there is always hope. You never know what tomorrow will bring. I feel your frustration and you have every right to vent. I cannot answer your questions about the matastisis (?). Every cc case seems to be unique. I will pray for you and your Mom.
Karen
karenSpectatorBrenda,

KarenkarenSpectatorJoel,
So sorry you have lost your Mom. It is always so hard to loose the ones we love. Prayers coming your way to try to help lighten your load.
Karen
karenSpectatorDear Mary,
My heartfelt sympathies to you and your son. I think the hardest issue with this terrible disease is the lack of symptoms. There is a small ache or pain and WHAM next thing you know is you are battling for all you are worth. I will keep you both in my prayers to ask for help to ease your grieving and to remember all the wonderful times you had together as a family.
Karen
karenSpectatorHeather,
Thank you for the prayers and words of encouragement. Prayers coming your way for you and Lee, and for everyone who is dealing with this nightmare cancer.
