Prayers, love and positive thoughts coming your way.

Believe me, Margaret, you are PHENOMENALLY strong. Whether you were to show your strength by choosing quality over quantity or by choosing any other option which may be offered you, please don’t ever believe you aren’t an amazingly strong, resilient and inspirational woman.

Expecting the best and hoping for the best. XX

Congratulations on good results!! If you’re at month 5.5 post-whipple, I have a healthy run-up to your party to start saving for the airfare from London to LA. I want to be at your 24 month party.

It’s a great letter, Jeff. Have you posted your blog yet??

Take care and keep fighting :)

Hello, Dina!! I’m sorry I can’t answer your questions, as my sister was not a candidate for surgery, but I want to welcome you to our wonderful family, though I’m very sad you had cause to find us.

This is a wonderful site and you’ll find a wealth of help and support here, from all over the world. I’m “just down the road” from you, in North London.

I’m sure others will be along very soon, to give you much more information than I can but, in the meantime, you can try the search option to find more info within the discussion boards.

My best to you and your mum and I wish her every success with her surgery on Wednesday.

Now that sounds WONDERFUL, Jeff :)

Good luck with all the tests. I’ve never had an MRI (and never will be able to, now, because I have two artificial knees) but an hour to an hour and a half in a noisy tube doesn’t sound a pleasant experience.

Warm water and sand sound great, though … **sigh** … :D

    Dear Deb

Your message touched me very deeply; I am so sorry for your loss. I well remember the shock of hearing my sister’s cc diagnosis. Your description of the resulting numbness is something I remember very well and I still get those episodes, like I’m hearing things from underwater.

Lainy’s comment about the “new normal” applies to me, too. I remember how comforted I felt when I first found this site and realised I was not alone. My new cc family has been a tower of strength and a great source of comfort and support. Please stay with us and let us do what we can to support you, too.

My very best to you and your children.

    Hugs from London
    Julia

Jeff, your story is absolutely riveting and so well expressed. I feel you’re walking us along your path, pointing out interesting views along the way. I’m looking forward to the next instalment, the way Dickens’ readers must have felt when his stories were published in bite-sized pieces.

    Do you blog??

My wonderful CCF family recommended I start a blog when I was bouncing off the walls in August ’09. I don’t do much detail, as it’s not limited to readers who know anything about (or would wish to cope with knowing any details of) CC, but you’ll find the link (called “website”) at the bottom of the left-hand pane, below my name, photo and number of posts.

There’s also a forum towards the bottom of the Main Discussion Board Menu, in the “External Links” section, called “Blogs”, where members put links to their blogs. If you wish to know more about your new CC Family’s stories, you’ll find many there.

I look forward to reading more.

    Take care
    Julia :)
