MarionAna….I, as you and many others, have felt the same about this board. It was and is my biggest support system when it comes to this cancer. It would be wonderful to hear about your success with your new cooking adventures and how your husband is able to enjoy his comfort food. In fact, possibly we can start our own little cookbook where we share our experiments in the food department.

Marionhello jur777….welcome to the site. Cyberknife radiation differs from Gamma Knife. You may read up on either Cyberknife and Gamma knife by using the google search function. You may also want to seek out additional opinions by forwarding your records to other physicians specializing in Bile Duct Cancer/Cholangiocarcinoma. Please, keep us posted about your upcoming visit.

Deares Kris….no way – we will not ignore you. And, you do have plenty of inner strenghts but, it comes in other ways so please, don’t undervalue yourself.
Kris I don’t understand either what is going on with you however, if you are not holding down any water then what are the odds for you to be urinating? Also, the loose stools don’t seem to fit the picture of what we have seen on this board for the past 2 years.

MarionVincent…you are so on top of it and I congratulate you for it. Sometimes, the best thing to do in order to have results, is to take things in your own hands. With your brother personally taking the records (make sure it was an extra copy otherwise, have them copy what they need) you know it will get done. You are (as most of us have) experiencing the glitches in the american healthcare system. Seems as if someone always, somewhere, is not doing their job however with your follow-up things are being tended to. Books could be written about this subject and I would not be surprised for you to be hearing from others who have had to fight their way through the obstacle course of the American Healtcare System. So glad to hear that your Mom is doing o.k.

Mariontanoland….,you might want to discuss the pain medication with her physician as it appears as though your sister may need something for break-through pain. Our JeffG has posted frequently about his pain control. You might want to use the”Search Function” by entering “break through pain” and see what pops up. Others may also want to share some of their knowledge with you. And, please remember, you are not alone in this as we all care and are there for you. Good luck tomorrow.

MarionTanoland….Jeff is our guru and I always listen to his talk. I have heard of drooping faces before and would definitely have a talk with the physician about this. Certainly, I would (as Jeff has pointed out) have bloodwork done and possibly, some scans, also. You would want to rule out the cancer causing this condition (drooping) or the that the chemotherapy is the culprit. What type of pain medication has been prescribed for her? You would want to insist for her pain to be brought under control.
