ModeratorBecky…..statistics in my opinion, are not very reliable and considering this cancer also, are not up to date. Your Mom may very well know this. Also, if you do take statistics in consideration it helps to remember that someone has to be in the top 10 percent. Why not your Mom?

ModeratorLissa…..so glad for you joining us and congratulations on the shrinkage. Carol made several great points and one in particular I would like to follow up with that being the seeking of a 2nd, or possibly, 3rd opinion in regards to your treatment.
Wishing for tons more shrinkage coming your way.

ModeratorJan…..I am not a physician and can only pass on what I have experienced personally with my husband and that what I have read and learned along the way mainly, through this site and some of the conferences attended by me. When reading through the postings by other member you will notice that all of us experience what you are experiencing and confusion certainly, is part of it. I don’t believe for anyone predicting the outcome as of yet as your husband is being treated, presently. I assume for upcoming scans to be showing a clearer picture, soon. Please, don’t give up hope and please, continue to lean on this unique family of CC where everyone is always ready to share with you and support you, all the way. Sending tons of good wishes your way.

ModeratorDear Irene….I would like to follow Jeff and Joyce in expressing my disappointment in re: to the aborted surgery. Please, give yourself some time to heal emotionally and physically then you will have a clearer picture as to which way to go. As mentioned by Joyce and Jeff we are behind you all the way whichever way you chose to address your decisions for future treatments.
Tons of cyberhugs coming your way,

Moderatorjanettay…..hello and welcome. Feeling good and looking healthy can be so misleading. My husband also did not show any signs of being a cancer patient until the very end of his life. In fact, he became more handsome as time went on and we would tell him so. What type of radiation is being contemplated with your husband? And what type of chemo regiment are you considering?
Again, glad for you to have found us.

ModeratorDear Swarty……Thanks for joining and reaching out to members of this site who, as you will experience are the greatest supporters when dealing with this cancer. Simply, put out your questions and be ready for the replies. Please, try to find some time for rest, yourself. Out of personal experience I know too well how us caretakers focus on our loved ones and therefore, neglect to sleep, eat, or simply relax. Again, I am so glad you have joined us.
