    Hi Moontje,

I am sorry to hear the news about Tom. I think this is the thing we all fear, but hopefully the doctors have a plan of attack and can get the new spots to skedaddle. I’m wishing you both all the best .

    Hugs,
    -Pam

    Hi Bob and Nancy,

I’m sorry to hear that Jeff’s tumor has grown. I do not know anything about Taxol other than I think it is also used for breast cancer. Hopefully, it will help Jeff. I read a blog called Wunderglo written by a young woman that has stage 4 colon cancer. I believe her oncologist is also Dr. Lenz and they have become partners in the fight to find a cure for colon cancer. You should check out her blog. It is very interesting and she is one tough cookie. She was on Kathie Lee and Hoda yesterday!! That is awesome that Jeff got to meet Kobe. I’m sure he was so thrilled. I hope Jeff has fun in the bowling tournament. He is quite a guy. I wish all of you the best with everything.

    Love,
    -Pam

    Hi Shellina and Judy,

I would like to send a warm welcome to both of you and tell you that I am sorry for all your husbands are having to endure. My daughter has CC, but thankfully has not had to go through stenting, ERCP, or Whipple surgery. Judy – I wish your husband all the best on his upcoming surgery. Shellina – Can they do a needle biopsy on your husband? I would definitely make sure you are seeing a doctor that is well versed about CC and is at a major cancer center.

    Best wishes,
    -Pam

    Hi Lisa,

Lauren gets hives from medical tape, chlorhexadene, tegaderm, amoxicillin, keflex and she even got them from oxaliplatin. Thanks for remembering that, Willow!! I don’t know if chemo or cancer made her more susceptible to hives, but she did get hives as a child from red dye and she always swells up a lot from any bug bite. Whe she has her surgery, they already ordered an antibiotic to give her during surgery because she has so many weird allergies. I know you have allergies to dogs. Have you been around any or maybe not over the hives you had since last being around a dog. Sometimes they keep popping back up even when you think they should be gone. Have you eaten any seafood lately? I know many are allergic to shellfish. I would write down everything you eat and try to determine if any food is causing them. Hope you find the culprit!

    Love you,
    -Pam

    Hi Tammy,

I wanted to welcome you to this site, but I’m so sorry you had to find us. I have not been in your situation, but I still wanted to welcome you to this site and say I hope someone else will be along soon to help. My daughter is the one with CC. She has had Y-90, so I could help with questions you had about that. Feel free to ask anything. How unfair that your dear Mom has Alzheimers and CC. I hope you decide what is best for your Mom and she is kept comfortable and pain free through all this. Bless you and your Mom.

    Love and hugs,
    -Pam

    Dear Philip,

Welcome to this site and great news that you are a survivor. Thank you so much for participating in a walk that benefits the CC Foundation. That is so awesome of you. Good luck with the Jeep and I wish you all the best with your health.

    Dear Notdoneyet,

What a wonderful, touching video. You can tell that Jeep sure did make him happy. I sat and watched the video with tears running down my face. It is so unfair that anyone has to get this cancer. I understand the love for cars and trucks that men have. My husband is crazy about them and works in the automotive industry. My Dad used to build race cars and has even built a motor home!! I am glad your son had this project and hope you use the Jeep to spread the word about your son and CC. God bless you.

    Love,
    -Pam

Wow, what a big discussion!! I think the is the way to go. Although, if people are like me, I always read those. I find many posts upsetting, but I feel I learn so much from everyone. Sometimes I just have a good cry and pick myself back up. This cancer is rotten and there is no way to sugarcoat it. I’m sure I would feel differently if I had CC. This is the reason I participate on this site and Lauren does not.

    Dear Annie,

I am so sorry to hear about your brother. It is nice you were able to see him and spend time with him before his passing. He was at peace and able to leave this Earth with his two special girls next to him. I’m sure he wasn’t afraid with you by his side. Bless you, Annie.

    Love and hugs,

    Hi Christine,

I’m sorry your Mom’s counts are low and she is not able to get chemo. Maybe after some rest and re-grouping her counts will be back up and a new treatment can begin. I know it is very scary when a person can’t be on chemo. I will pray for your Mom. Keep us updated please.

    Love and hugs,
    -Pam
