    TWilbur,

Welcome to this site, but sorry you had to find us. We are all like a family here, so we will be happy to hear your thoughts, questions, opinions, rants, jokes, or whatever you wish to post. Stable is a good word to us, although we would rather hear shrinkage. My daughter, age 26, is the one with CC. I will never give up hope for her or for anyone else suffering with this terrible cancer. I wish you all the best on your journey and we are all here for you.

I did not take a pill today. My heart is not doing what it did when I took it, so I think it was the pill. Plus, my insides feel more calm. I will call the doctor’s office tomorrow and see what he says. Thanks everyone, for your support and advice.

    Sedona,

Like Lainy said, I dont think you should recommend things for people to take without saying that they should consult with their doctors first. Are you trying to make money off of us here or what? I get a bad feeling that you are not here for the same purposes we are here. We are here to offer support to each other. To say such a thing that chemo doesn’t work on this type of cancer is very hurtful. To some of us, that is all that can be offered. And if it doesn’t work, why have many of us seen shrinkage of tumors on chemo? I find your postings upsetting and wish you would just leave us alone if you don’t want to offer positive support. I, for one will not be reading any more of your posts.

Well everyone, I have given it a week at half the dose and I am better with the crying. I don’t have the outbursts of crying anymore. But, I can’t stand the side effects. The nausea and headache are gone, but ever since starting this medication it feels like I have a rapid heartbeat. I am afraid I will have a heart attack or something. I feel it most up in my throat. I know, weird. Last night, my husband and I went to dinner and I felt really so strange. Like my body was going crazy inside and I had to take deep breaths to calm down. Calm on the outside, but freaking out on the inside. It is so hard to explain. I am calling Monday to see if I can be put on something else. I do not want to feel like that again. Thanks so much for all of your comments. I just hope I find something that works.

Lauren and I are heartbroken. Kim was such a positive force in Lauren’s fight against CC. She was one of a kind and we will deeply miss her. Prayers go out to her family and to all who loved her. Rest in peace beautiful friend.

Hi Anne and welcome to this site. I hope Dr. Koong can help your Mom. You chose the right person to contact when you chose Marion. She has helped me on many occassions and I feel so lucky to have her in my corner. She is a wonderful person and so knowledgeable. I wish you and your Mother all the best.

    Hi Lisa,

I would also like to say to run not walk to a 2nd opinion. Don’t ever put up with anything but excellent care. Those doctors sound like a bunch of uncaring buffoons that have no business taking care of your husband or anyone else!! Once you find a place where you feel comfortable, I think you will both feel better. Wishing you all the best.

    Melissa,

Try writing down all your questions and tell Dr. Z you have a list and would like answers. I know Mondays are super busy there. He seems to be running in all directions to get to see everyone. We have only felt rushed a few times, but we understand since he is so busy and I think getting busier. I kind of think the PA’s are a waste of time because he asks all the same questions and they can’t ever seem to answer my questions. We go on Wednesdays. It doesn’t seem as busy as Mondays. We would love to meet you. Take care and best wishes.

    Love, -Pam
