Hi Jim,
Thank you for the information. We actually saw Dr. Daniel Cherqui at NYP when Dan was first diagnosed last year.
I will suggest the cardiologist. (yesterday his heart rate actually dropped to 80).
Stay Healthy!
PeonypeonyMemberPercy, thank you for the information and advise. I will speak to the onc right away.
Hi Mechwarrior, Welcome to the website. My husband was diagnosed in Oct 2010 with unresectable stage IV CC. Mets to the lungs and spine.
P
peonyMemberHe is on the coumadin to thin his blood due to the effects of the avastin. He takes it daily and his INR is also checked daily while on chemo.
It’s usually 1.5. He does have nose bleeds often.. His blood pressure is normal.peonyMemberHi PCL,
He is now on Oxaliplatin, gem, and avastin. No more Zomeda. But he’s also taking coumadin, marinol, prilosec, ducalax, allegra and Albuteral inhaler as needed. He takes some other Otc drugs which escape my memory at the moment. He’s only 48 so he hasn’t really had any health issues other than allergies prior to CC.
Thanks
PpeonyMemberHi Jeremy, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. The stress of losing a loved one compounded by the financial burden of medical bills etc.. must be overwhelming for you and your family.
I’m not a lawyer but you and your family may not be responsible for the medical bills. The laws vary from state to state and it would be worthwhile to seek the advise of a lawyer or estate planner.
I attached a link below for some additional information. I”m sure others will respond with whatever knowledge they may have in this area.

I’ll sign your petition.
peonyMemberDear Adam,
I’m so very sorry for your loss and pray that you and your children will find strength from each other.
peonyMemberPam, what a beautiful post. You are so right to thank all of those who give their time and share their stories and wisdom. I too am grateful beyond words. I use this website to research, ask advise and vent when needed. I read uplifting posts and relay them to my husband (like Lauren, he does not want to be on the website). It’s often difficult to talk to friends and even family members so this website has been a Godsend to me and I’m sure too everyone who frequents it.
So… thank you CC survivors, caretakers and friends.peonyMemberPam, so happy to hear the good news. Tell Lauren to keep on thinking shrinking!!
peonyMemberGreat new Tom! So happy to hear that Ben is recovering well from the surgery. Warm wishes and a speedy recovery.

If your in NJ there are great hospitals in NYC like Sloan Kettering and NY Presbyterian.peonyMemberThanks Lainy. If we do get the oxygen I may try some myself!!!!
Now that I think of it there is a bottle of Marinol in the fridge… ( Ha Ha, just kidding, I would never take his perscription drugs except for the occasional xanax.)peonyMemberHi Joyce,
Thank you for sharing your experience. Dan is doing better now but of course I’m always on edge waiting for it to happen again. I’ll definatlely mention the side effect and also the oxygen to the onc.
