Strong like an Ox, just can’t spell it, and I look like one too.
scott-sibleyMemberI’m still chugging along after round 1. I dont seem to have any side effects, so I’ll assume its because of only being part way through my first round.
Maybe its just my Maritime roots…Most of us up here are so tough, you couldn’t castrate us with a chainsaw. I got this.

November 5, 2015 at 8:57 pm in reply to: How long could CC be growing before discovered in advanced stages? #90375scott-sibleyMemberThis is a topic that interests me as well. If they didnt give me a ct scan two months ago, I would still be working lots, eating bad, and probably crushing booze on the weekends. I still feel great; better than before actually because of the diet they put me on. I have slight pain/discomfort where the tumor is, but I had 11 stabs during 3 biopsies. Who knows if the pain is tumor or biopsy trama. I wonder how much longer I could last before symptoms????
scott-sibleyMemberMy little guy, Mac , and I think the greatest football person to ever come out of Wisconsin is JJ Watt.

Winning is a habit”
it works for every challenge in life, not just football
scott-sibleyMemberI’m home now from round 1. So far, just a very slight feeling of tiredness, with a hint of dizziness. maybe a touch of headache too, but I sat in that chair for 5 hours.
A few things I’ve noticed so far.
– a good sense of humour and a good attitude puts everyone around you at ease.
– people who come to their treatment by themselves makes me sad. They look so lonely.
– they have great blueberry muffins up there, but really bad coffee…I’ll send my accomplice to Tim Hortons
– if you drive a truck, you can avoid the 3 dollar parking fee. You just drive over the curb instead of going through the parking gate.scott-sibleyMemberI’ve already found something I don’t like….the sound of the IV pump……
Head phones and Bad Company mixed with some John Prine took care of that….now, bring me the brown bag!!!!
scott-sibleyMemberI went to “chemo school” 2 days ago. There was so much info. I have 3 scripts to take to help with the chemo effects. 1 of them is to take only for nausia. They told me I may lose the hair on my head, but not the useless hair on my back and arse…..this seems like a ripoff.
Is it weird that I have more anticipation and curosity about this cancer journey, and less fear/anxiety/stress??“No one can judge effort, because effort is between you and YOU!!” – Ray Lewis

Most likely you will receive Gemcitabine and Cisplatin, which is considered standard of care for our cancer and is discussed many times on this site. For any questions you may have, be assured that someone with similar experience will share thoughts, ideas and experiences with you. My first question: Do you have a port installed?
Good luck tomorrow and please stay in touch. We are in this together.
Hugs,
MarionI do not have a port installed, also, I don’t know what that is…..
In all honesty, I’ve done minimal research on cancer the last 2 months. The only stuff I know is what the doctors told me.Scott
