We made the video to share on the facebook page we made for my dad. Someone whose dad has cc.saw it on facebook, and I’ve had over 30 friends share it. Our fundraiser is focusing on really raising awareness.
I seen the video on facebook! She is so sweet, and smart!
tiff1496MemberYes!! We used the name CC when doing our flyers. And also on the radio when talking about my fundraiser.
Can we buy the trifold brochures? Like the one that came with the wristbands?

DerinCisplatin does take a lot longer! My Gemzar is about 30 min. The cisplatin takes a little over an hour. Plus I get potassium and magnesium they also take about an hour each. Glad I only go every 14 days! LOL
tiff1496MemberGot them today!! LOVE them, and the shipping was fast….it said 3 weeks, but didn’t take that long.
tiff1496MemberPamela- My doctors don’t really worry about the number too much, but we are happy to see it go down. She did say that it could be a sign that the chemo is working. And as we know from Lauren—-it is!! WooHoo!
tiff1496Membermarions wrote:Tiff….absolutely, this looks hopeful due to the downward trend of your CA 19-9. Congratulations.
On our site we have seen, in rare cases, shortness of breath. Cisplatin also can cause breathing difficulties. In order to rule out anything significant I would consider making an appointment with a lung specialist.
Keep up the good numbers.
All my best wishes,
MarionI will look into seeing a lung specialist! Thanks for the advice. When they put that thing on my finger (not sure what its called LOL) it shows my oxygen is 100. So I’m not sure whats going on.
BUT…I am excited about my CA19-9 going down.tiff1496MemberGot some!! Can’t wait to get them.
tiff1496MemberThanks!!!
tiff1496MemberI’m seeing a local oncologist in Huntsville AL, and then I got to MD Anderson to see Dr. Javle. We will be going next month for scans and meeting with him again.
tiff1496MemberPraying! I just know she is going to get good news!
tiff1496MemberAwesome news!! I’m so happy your tumor is shrinking! Do you just have the 1 tumor? What size did it start out, and whats its size is it now?

tiff1496MemberLOL Cathy– Your right. I just hate talking to doctors about it, guess I don’t want to hear the bad news from them.
Percy- I have had a full body CT @ MD Anderson, we see Dr. Javle. He was the one who told me I have CC. The pathology report came from Fox Chase, that is where my local doctor sent it. MD Anderson wanted to do a molecular biomarker on the tissue, but they didn’t have enough. After talking to Dr. Javle, he said we would consider doing another biopsy if the chemo I’m on now isn’t working.
I hate all this not knowing… -
