Frank Barba

I am fundraising for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation in honor of my father, Frank R. Barba, who passed away from this disease in November of 2021. He was diagnosed with NASH in May of 2017, and on the evening of July 20th, 2021, we received a call we had been waiting years for. It was his transplant team telling us he was getting a liver transplant, and he needed to get to the hospital ASAP. We thought this was the answer to all of our prayers.

He took the surgery very well, however when they removed his bad liver, they found the cholangiocarcinoma. He was diagnosed on July 23rd 2021, and he passed away on November 23rd 2021, only 4 short months later. My dad was a happy-go-lucky guy, who had a zest for life ever since he was a little boy. He had a sparkle in his eye and a heart of gold. He was a very special person, and he had a positive impact on everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. My goal is to raise as much money as possible for this foundation, in hopes of someone finding a cure, so that no one else will have to lose their life or a loved one to this disease. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, and they will put it towards research and patient programming. Thank you.
