First off, happy anniversary Lisa. So glad you two were able to get away to celebrate. Even with all the set backs. Sounds like all is well and I am sure the scans will go well too. Next, I totally agree that Kris & Mark deserve a little time off too when he is feeling up to it and they can manage it. I too am sorry to hear he is having a hard time of it. Hopefully things will slowly start to improve.

    Jennifer,

Most of what your dad is experiencing is more than likely due to the cancer. I only say this from the experience I had with my husband, not as a medical professional. Good to hear he is not experiencing any pain, but if he does I hope he will let the family and the doctors know as it can be controlled.

I’m glad you and your family had a nice camping weekend with dad. No matter what, I think doing these kind of things as often as possible and as your dad is able is very important. Enjoy that family time.

Lola, I agree with the others. Pain control is the most important thing for mom right now.

    Hi Susie,

Relax and enjoy Hawaii. Have a great time. I’m sure all will go well both
there and with the scans. Fingers crossed. :)

    Dear Kami,

What a lovely poem and wonderful tribute to your dear mother. I am so sorry for your loss. Keep your mom with you forever in your heart and wonderful memories. I know nothing can ease your pain right now, but try to take comfort in knowing she is now in a better place and no longer suffering or in pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad & trying time.

Interesting you should bring this up. I too had been wondering why we have not heard anything from him lately. Hoping you are right and that no news is good news.

Not saying that there is not a connection, but wanted to add this to the mix. My husband was thin and healthy all his life until CC. A study will be interesting. Wonder what the percentage of thin versus obese that get cancer is.
