SpectatorFirst off, happy anniversary Lisa. So glad you two were able to get away to celebrate. Even with all the set backs. Sounds like all is well and I am sure the scans will go well too. Next, I totally agree that Kris & Mark deserve a little time off too when he is feeling up to it and they can manage it. I too am sorry to hear he is having a hard time of it. Hopefully things will slowly start to improve.

SpectatorJennifer,
Most of what your dad is experiencing is more than likely due to the cancer. I only say this from the experience I had with my husband, not as a medical professional. Good to hear he is not experiencing any pain, but if he does I hope he will let the family and the doctors know as it can be controlled.
I’m glad you and your family had a nice camping weekend with dad. No matter what, I think doing these kind of things as often as possible and as your dad is able is very important. Enjoy that family time.

SpectatorTom, Thanks for updating us on how things are going for Ben. Sounds like you are at the top of the roller coaster right now. Hope it stays that way. Enjoy!

SpectatorDear Kami,
What a lovely poem and wonderful tribute to your dear mother. I am so sorry for your loss. Keep your mom with you forever in your heart and wonderful memories. I know nothing can ease your pain right now, but try to take comfort in knowing she is now in a better place and no longer suffering or in pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad & trying time.

SpectatorInteresting you should bring this up. I too had been wondering why we have not heard anything from him lately. Hoping you are right and that no news is good news.

SpectatorNot saying that there is not a connection, but wanted to add this to the mix. My husband was thin and healthy all his life until CC. A study will be interesting. Wonder what the percentage of thin versus obese that get cancer is.
