SpectatorNancy,
I’m so glad you and Frank had a nice day today and that the weather made it possible for Frank to be outside and also to visit with his beloved “friends” Rocky & Foster along with others. Weather is nasty up here in Plymouth.
Thinking of you as you continue on this journey. One day at a time.Love & Hugs,

SpectatorDear Adam,
So sorry to hear that your father has passed away. Try to take some comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering or in pain. Keep him with you forever in your heart and memories. I totally agree that losing someone to this disease changes you in ways that most can not even imagine.
Take care and know that we are all here for you and that we truly do care.
Hugs,
Darladarla
SpectatorI too will keep her in my thoughts & prayers.

SpectatorLisa,
I am so impressed. You have more strength and stamina than most people who aren’t being treated or fighting this disease. Would love to see a picture if you can figure it out. I finally did but have no idea how I did it. If I can do it I think almost anyone can figure it out eventually. Good luck to you. Hoping everything looks good after your scans. You go girl!

SpectatorDear Percy,
Your posts are always welcome here and are of much benefit to all who have come for help and support. You definitely still have a purpose in life. I totally understand what you are saying, but for me and I am sure many others here, the insight into how you are feeling and your wants & needs as a patient are very important. If you are feeling up to it, your posts are always welcome. It’s also good to hear from you even if it is just an update on how you are doing. We all care and want to be here for you as you have been for so many others.
I am so sorry for what you are going through both physically and mentally. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care and do what is best for you.
Lots of Love & Hugs,
Darladarla
SpectatorWow! You do have a lot on your plate. Being the caregiver and decision maker is a full time job on its own, but add in a toddler & 2 infants is more than most could deal with. I so admire your strength and fortitude. I know platitudes don’t help or change things, but I’m hoping this will help a little.
We never know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have.
As for the second opinion, I know others who had to deal with insurance issues and some have discussed it with the place in question and they have worked with them. I’m hoping others who have had some experience with this and have more knowledge of the doctors & hospitals in your area will chime in as I really do feel he needs to be seen by someone with more knowledge of this disease as soon as possible.
Sending you the strength of everyone on this site and hoping you can work this out for the best for your dad and also you and your family.
Love & Hugs,
Darladarla
SpectatorMom3,
I too am sorry to hear what you and your dad are all dealing with. Glad you have found us, but sorry you needed to. You have already been given some good information. I too feel that a second opinion is needed as soon as possible. Hopefully with someone more familiar with CC. It sounds like you are a good advocate for your dad and that he trusts you to make the right choices for him. Good luck to you. Give us an update when you can. You have found the right place for help, support and information regarding this disease. Take care.

SpectatorLisa,
I am so sorry you had to put up with that ignorant neighbor’s insensitive comments. People need to learn to think before they open their mouth. Good luck with the scans. Fingers crossed.
