ok, I am probably the only one who has no idea what an EFT study is..must of missed the boat on that one?
hi irene, i think i emailed you about dr jenkins and i do recall hearing the name dr lewis while at lahey clinic…chemo brain is not helping me remember There were many different drs checking in on me while i was hospitalized and i liked all of them…which is not something i would say lightly but they are great! so i would suggest you go to lahey.org and click on liver transplant or liver surgery and you will see that dr lewis and dr jenkins were the first to perform a successful liver transplant in 1983 in new england etc. at lahey clinic they all work as a team and that benefits everyone…especially us. good luck and feel free to email if you need any more info. deb

THANK YOU ALL !!!marion, sue, iris, kris , charlene, anne, jeff, lainey and joyce PRELIMIMINARY REPORT LOOKS REALLY GOOD!!!!!!! AHHHH releif from the unbeleivable anxiety of not knowing. Needless to say I am exhausted after a sleepless night and an extrememly long day ending with such good news. I go back in November to do it again…I imagine I’ll be nervous again hopefully not as bad as I’ve been. My husband said “I knew you were fine” I did NOT know that and it went right through me..what a crabby wife huh? It really hasn’t hit me yet… after a good nights rest I am sure it will. :} It has meant so much to me to have the support that I received here where people truely understand. thank you all, deb ps I would love to email privately as well as soon as I am more awake. charlene, anne, jeff,lainy, joyce………….I wish I could give you all a hug to thank you all for your understanding..it helps alot. I wish it was not so late bc I would really like to write more but have to get up at 2a.m. to take more prednisone and be out the door at 5 a.m. thank you for being my angels

hi Jeff, I have to thank you for giving me hope. You have no idea the inspiration I received from you when I first posted…9 years amazing well I beleive just from what little I have read that you are an amazing man and that your desire to beat this little monster WILL not slow you down for long..obviously you are still ready to TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT and then some!!!!!!!!! charlene , I wish I could take away all the pain and suffering you are going through and especially praying for peace for you both. Joel, I am so very sorry to hear that about your moms passing. My heart goes out to you and your family. I wish there was something I could say to ease the heartache …just having a loving son like you to care so deeply and fight so hard for her is priceless gift …. You were obviously a blessing to your mom…. Your love for your mum remains alive forever and with that she will always be with you . Hugs and my deepest sympathy, Deb
Joel, I also agree with Jeff..I would think at least the same as I initially had were several ERCPs with stent placement to keep the bile ducts open and they did remove my gallbladder as well all before the cancer was confirmed. I know my jaundice went away as long as my bile duct was still open. I would bet your mom would feel better and have a better appetite as well. Please know I am not an expert on cc but I am a survivor! Keep your family in my prayers, deb
hi barb, thanks for the great advice! I do have another question though, I saw you wrote about not having such a good memory….i certainly can relate which leads to my question: Is it true that the chemo I had can effect my memory because it is awful! My eye DR said the significant decline in my vision may also be a result of the chemo. I swear going senile and blind is not a my choice of a fun time. I am still trying to use my MANUAL treadmill…it is kinda dangerous either it is too fast or suddenly stops..i will need to look on line for the nordic trac direction…..happy mothers day to all the moms deb i.
wow mr clean…do you happen to have any extra energy…my house is looking a little messy lately..
your wife must love to have such a helpful husband…i am happy that you are feeling well and strong keep up the good work!!!!that is absolutely amazing that you hasband is walking so much…my surgeon had also said that walking is the best exercise. I actually just got a manual treadmill over the weekend for free from craigslist.com My first few attemps on it have been a little scarey…almost flung myself over backwards. I will need some practice
Thanks for the encouraging words best of luck to you both debJeff,first of all how are you feeling? I have not read much recently so I sure hope you a doing well. Now I’d like to thank you for your advice about my fatigue…I did get a chuckle out of your comment about depression and not wanting to admit it. We all try to be so strong don’t we? I will try drinking more water and see if that helps..maybe I am dehydrated..could explain all the leg/foot cramps I get over the last 2 weeks…. thanks again;)deb
