Hello marc,
As others have said in the past, it is forum none of us wanted to join. Many thanks go to Rick and Stacie for the time and talent they have put into this web site. The site remains a living tribute to their brother Mark who lost his battle with CC last January. It is the best place on the web for sharing information about this rare and terrible disease. Once you have all the details of your mother

evan14MemberHello Ann Marie, here are a couple of suggestions that may be of help to you. Since the Whipple procedure is most often performed for Pancreatic Cancer patients, I will refer you to the Johns Hopkins Pancreatic discussion board. There are many past and present discussions about post Whipple issues
evan14MemberPeter, I am sorry to hear of your most recent difficulties. We will pray for good results from your treatment adjustments. Dawn had surgery this last Monday to remove two lymph nodes that had recently grown in size. We will get the pathology report sometime next week.
May God give you strength in your battle Peter.

evan14MemberHello Robin
You may want to consider contacting PanCan toll free at 877-272-6226. This is a Pacreatic Cancer advocate organization. They can refer you to doctors and surgeons in the state of WA that specialize in GI cancers. Cholangiocarcinoma is similar in many ways to pancreatic cancer. Dawn and I called PanCan to obtain a list of doctors in the Chicago area.
Sorry you find your self here – but it is a place for good information and hope.

evan14MemberI have been considering a blog. Sort of waiting to see where we are at with this lateset developement then give it some additional thought. This last year has been a blessing with Dawn having few problems. If it looks as though Dawn will be in for a number of treatments I would like ot keep her siblings who live in CA informed.
Thanks for the suggestion Mary Anne.

evan14MemberA cautious sigh of relief for you Peter. Did they explain what was seen on your CT scan back in July? Dawn and I will continue to pray for you well being. She had CT and PET scans yesterday. Waiting for the results is always an extremely anxious time. She continues to feel well although a nagging abdominal pain persists when she takes a quick breath. I have noticed that her appetite is not at the same level that is was just a few months ago, which is causing some concern.
