ModeratorDear Alikemal,
I am so very sorry indeed to hear of the passing of your beloved mother. Please accept my sincerest condolences. I wish that there was something that I could say right now that would help ease the pain that you feel but I know that there are no words. You have done everything that you possibly could to help your mum and I know how proud she is of you and how much that would have meant to her. Please know that my thoughts right now are with you and your family.
My best to you,
Gavin

A break is good when needed and from what you say, it sounds like you needed one. Glad to hear that the TAS is helping and the shrinkage as well, excellent news! Looking forward to seeing you around here again loads and also hearing about more shrinkage too!!

ModeratorThanks for these Marion. Seems not a year since the last annual meeting! And as always, my thanks to Stacie, Donna, Kathi, Melinda and Barbara and everyone else who are running the booth and running around Asco doing what they do for us all. It is very much appreciated by everyone!
Your first year not there in a decade marion, wow! Rollerskates all round for everyone else though!
Hugs and thanks to all!

ModeratorGlad to hear that it all went smoothly Brigitte except for the pains afterwards, grrrr to that! Fingers are crossed here as well for your recovery and the results in August, and also the chemo too. Definitely time for you to kick back a bit and put your feet up for a bit!

ModeratorOff the top of my head Tia, I think there are quite a few postings here on the site about Turmeric and the search forum function at the top of the page will throw them up for those who are interested.

ModeratorHi Tia,
Please don’t beat yourself up about any of this and what you are doing for your mum. I so know from my dad and from looking after my mum for 11 years as well how hard all of this is. None of us are professionals in caring and there sure is not some carers manual that we can all refer to when things get tough!
I know how much it will mean to your mum what you and the rest of your family are doing for her so please do not beat yourself up over anything. You are doing everything that you possibly can for her and that will mean the world to her. Would it not be possible to speak to your mums med team, local doctor or something to see about getting some palliative help for her? Remember as well that we are all always here for you too.
Hugs,
Gavin

ModeratorThanks for this Marion.

ModeratorTotally agree Karen and I know from both my dads and mums experiences that they both felt better once things were in place before arrangements had to be made for palliative care etc.
Thanks for this.
