MemberHope it gets approved soon. Just keep calling and don’t let up. We went through with the insurance denying my dad’s treatment a month ago. He has now had the “mapping” and should be scheduled for the radioembolization next week. Insurance did not want to approve it, but after the dr appealed they did approve it. He has bc/bs. Doctors from the University of Kentucky are providing his care. I wish I could give you more information. Let me know if you have any other questions.

MemberThanks so much, Lainy. You’re right about being strong. I actually am the strong one, though of course I have my moments. Dad also apologizes all the time

MemberI’m Erin. I’m 27, will be 28 on 2/15. I’m married to Jon, and am a stay at home mom to 3 wonderful kids (Ethan, Arabella, Maile). I live in Georgetown, Ky. My dad, Tim, was diagnosed with liver cancer July ’11 and CC in August after a failed attempt at resection.
Dad is 53, still traveling for work and running sometimes. He’s a marathoner, and can run about a mile still. Chemo was unsuccessful, so we’re in the waiting stage of doing theraspheres.
