Rick, I feel so bad for your pain and the ascites building up. You will be in my prayers! I am 40 years old and the mother of 2 small children diagnosed 1 year ago. Every day is special and I am trying to teach my husband how to do the bills, taxes, etc.. It’s stressful for us type A’s. Take care, Kristin

I am currently taking Xeloda and Gemzar. I actually am the opposite of you. I have constipation. The whole 2 weeks and have to take fiber bars every day. My oncologist told me that they normally see diarrhea and less constipation. Best wishes and hope you get to feeling better. Bless you :)

Julie, I was diagnosed Feb. 2010 and had a resesction and chemo for 4 months. I was in remission for 3 months and the cancer was present at my 3 month scans. I agree with everyone that you should go to a large cancer hospital. I get all my treatments at home but I have my doctor at MD Anderson write all the orders for chemo. I am doing just great and plan to have many years with my 7 and 12 year old. Best Wishes to you and your mom !!

That’s awesome news!! I am 8 months post resection and then 8 cycles of chemo every other week. I go to MD Anderson next week the 3rd and 4th for my 3 month scans. I am hoping to share the same news. You give me lots of hope today! Best wishes, Kristin C

Hey, I found this site a few weeks ago and it helps me so much! I was diagnosed in Feb. 2010 and am post-resection. Getting ready for 3 month scans after 4 months of chemo and I do feel like we are all “family”. I love to read all the good news. It gives us all hope and makes us know we are not alone. Blessings! Kristin
