Hi Kay. So sorry about dad. I do have a suggestion though not sure it can be done! I don’t know much about chemo or radiation or the other treatments but I do know about Cyber Knife. What I don’t know is if it can be used on the liver. Teddy had it a year ago and it is a magical miracle! 3 – 5 treatments and you are done! Barely a side effect either. Just a suggestion you can ask the doctor about. Good luck. It has to be under 6cm and not spread in too many places, I forgot about that. You might ask.
lainySpectatorDearest Brian’s wife, we are so very sorry to hear about Brian. No words can express enough how bad we feel for you and your family. When you said “until I see you again” you prompted me to again print these words:
Grieve not for me, my darling,
I’ll not be far away,
With petals of love and tenderness,
I’ll pave for you the way.To join me in our sanctuary,
And ne’er again we’ll part,
Grieve not for me, my darling,
I live within your heart.Take joy again in living,
As you did in years gone by,
God knows of what He’s doing,
And not be questioned why,Grieve not for me, my darling,
My life with you on earth,
Each moment filled with happiness,
And love so few be worth.I’ll be waiting for you Sweetheart,
Where skys are ever blue,
With eager heart and open arms,
Patiently for you.Grieve not for me, my darling,
May faith and my love keep
Your soul filled with contentment,
Eternally I sleep.lainySpectatorCongratulation!!! I know I said it the other day but Ii surely do think it bears repeating!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lainySpectatorHi Sue and congratulations on your anniversary! You know how we all love the great news. Have you noticed we are getting more and more good/hopeful news??? We are so happy for you!
lainySpectatorDear HollySUe, we want to welcome you to our Family and happy you found us.
My husband had the same thing with the pancreas! I guess sometimes the dye from the ERCP can leak on the Pancreas and it literally damages it. His healed in about 3 weeks, just enough time to have his surgery.
With that said, I would gather all your mom’s info and look for a doctor who is very familiar with CC. Can you tell us where you live and I am sure you will be getting some responses quickly to help you find someone. In the meantime start gathering her records. Please let us know what is happening.lainySpectatorHello BDK and welcome to our Family! You are already a survivor, congratulations for that.
I will keep this short as I agree with all above comments, just want to say don’t listen to statistics as we have many Miracles on our Board and unlike a bakery we don’t take a number and stand in line waiting to be called. Please feel free to visit often and ask away, vent or advise. Also please keep us posted on your progress!lainySpectatorHi Margaret and Tom. What great news. It seems that lately we are getting more good news days than we used too. A great sign. Keep up the good work and don’t freeze in the Tundra.
lainySpectatorYea Kris, keep up the hard work. Leroy is no match compared to you! I am keeping everything crossed for good news on Tuesday!
January 27, 2010 at 4:01 am in reply to: Mother, sister, grandmother, greatgrandmother, friend, hero #35124lainySpectatorSharon, you are a very special daughter and your Mom knows that. She is all around you and one day you will know that she is still watching over you as I believe that Mother’s never really leave their children.
I believe that part of grief is adjusting to not being on call, to not have to watch the decline of a loved one anymore and just a huge mental and physical break. This is for you:You will grieve my loss, but I have not gone. My body is beyond your reach, but my soul is touching yours. I am the one who enters your dreams. Caresses your face Hugs you. Misses you. I have not left, my spirit is with yours. I am all around you when you call. I am the gentle breeze when there is no wind. I am in the photo on the wall when you blink in disbelief. I am the song that enters your head for no reason, yet it reminds you. Don’t grieve that I am gone. I am with you, beside you, in you. I will be forever.
lainySpectatorDear Amy, we are so sorry about the loss of your Father. Not only were you lucky to have been there but your dad was lucky to have you. He has not really left you he has just gone to another room. Our thoughts and prayers are flying out to you and your family.
lainySpectatorOh my goodness, Lulu. What you have endured physically not to mention mentally! We do have Guardian Angels on this Board , don’t we?

lainySpectatorWelcome, TK to our Family! You are already a survivor and are now elevated in life to a “maintenance” person. All questions are important and feel free to ask away, vent or advise. Good to meet you!
lainySpectatorWow, Chris!!! Congratulations. My husband has been named “Miracle Man” and I will dub you “Superman”. You have made my day! Teddy is 78 and a 4 1/2 year survivor and looking forward to his 80th. Yea! what a way to start the day.
