SpectatorHi all. I met with the oncologist and radiation oncologist. Both wanted a scan in another 4 months. I got bloodwork, which was pretty good. My oncologist said I can have my port removed, but I said let’s wait until after the next scan.
Be well everyone and keep the prayers coming!Susie
Eli, how is your wife feeling these days?

SpectatorHi. In Susie. In 32 yrs old diagnosed at 31. I had intrahepatic cc and had a resection in may 2011. Just had my one yr scan and it is clean! I had chemo and radiation after my resection. I just recently had an ovary removed because of a mass, but it turned out to just be a cyst. I don’t have much medical history. I have high cholesterol even though I’m as skinny as can be. I don’t take meds for it. I do not have psc or inflammatory bowel disease. Best wishes to everyone!

SpectatorJose,
Did they ever test her ammonia levels? If it is high, lactulose can help bring it down. Hepatic encephalopathy is a terrible thing to watch. I wish you the best.

SpectatorI have seen lots of people have problems with liquids, but they usually have some type of neurological defect. Some times liver patients can have this issue also. Talk to your dr, she may need thickened liquids or nectar consistency. You need to make sure she is not aspirating.
Take care,
