Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF) is a proud member of The Working Consistent Group. Together with 41 other advocacy organizations, we committed to clarifying and promoting consistent use of common terms for biomarker and germline genetic testing.
Establishing this unified voice will help the medical community and patients achieve a common understanding about the benefits of testing. Join a movement to promote consistent use of common terms for biomarker and germline genetic testing and work together to achieve better communication between patients and providers about testing needs.
Recommended terms identified include the following: "Biomarker testing" to discuss tests that identify characteristics, targetable findings, or other test results originating from malignant tissue or blood. "Genetic testing for an inherited mutation" and "genetic testing for inherited cancer risk."
This week we like to share 5 tips with you on how to get behind Biomarkers Matter.
If you find a good resource that would help others in this trying time please send it to us . We will share relevant information with our community. The cancer community knows more than most about social distancing and self-quarantining, help us educate the wider community about how to stay safe and how to make others safer.
Please remember, we are here for you.
