February 14, 1961 – October 16, 2017

• Heather was born on Valentine’s Day 1961 in Honolulu, HI to James and Margaret McDonald. After growing up in southern California and graduating from CSU, Long Beach, she met the love of her life, Rod Bolek, while promoting chicken littles for KFC in Washington.

• A selfless daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother, Heather was also a gracious friend and coworker. She was VP of Human Resources with Financial Pacific Leasing and, a devout Catholic, was immersed in life at St. Charles school and parish.

• After four years fighting a rare bile duct cancer, she passed away in her home, enveloped in love by her husband and sons. Heather is survived by her husband of 29 years, Rod; children Rodman, Jacob, and Shantra; siblings Peggy, Ellen, Sara, and Mike; mother Margaret; and innumerable friends and family members across the country and world.
